Well, that's your assumption. Lots of Mets fans on the board too. And non-NY fans. If the insecure Yankee fans took it so personally and were butthurt that's their problem. I qualified in Post #1 this wasn't a rings discussion and they couldn't stop veering directly down that path. Again, not my issue.

You specifically said not to bring up rings I didn't do that. The 2000 World Series is a ring, not rings. Just brought up Jeters .409 ba in the World Series, I'm sure that's not a team accomplishment.

You're moving the goal posts, funny to see you playing the victim now after trolling. Congrats to Lindor on passing Jeter on the hr list cool, no one's happier then you so enjoy.

Who the hell is butthurt?

You're evidently trying to claim some superiority for your team because of one very narrow criteria for one position on the field. Congrats, I imagine it allows you to sleep better at night.

I "claim" nothing. I stated a numerical fact and an individual achievement by Lindor.

I'm not sure how many times I can try to keep you all from pulling this back to team achievement.

Let me ask you and others. Would you not think it's a great achievement if Lindor stays on track and becomes the all time HR leader at the SS position? In 150+ years of the sport?

Personally I already see it as a great achievement. I may be alone but I still view shortstop as a defense first position. If 45 years ago, knowing what everyone knew after their careers were over I had been given the choice of either Cal Ripkin or Ozzie Smith I would have taken Ozzie.

Lindor is a very good shortstop and his offense (especially having some pop) is a bonus. If to date he never had a season with double digit home runs but was a .300 hitter he still would have added far more than needed offensively as he can handle the position at a quality level in the field.

Yeah. I don’t really agree with that but you’re entitled to your opinion. He’s a five tool player and always has been. And the stats show he’s an elite defender but if you don’t follow him you may not see that.

Also Ozzie only leapfrogs Ripken defensively. Nowhere else. But if that’s your main qualifier, I see your point.

Nah. The Keith/Mattingly argument is more even and interesting.

If I really wanted to troll? I’d show Yankee fans how Jeter was Michael Young on a better team in a better market. That’s undeniable.
 
Oh yeah more homers hell he must be better. Long way to go to get to .310, 1900 plus runs and lots of hits still so maybe pump the brakes. And they both batted 1-2 more than anywhere else in the lineup. Does Lindor have better power, hell yeah. Is he a little better in field, maybe. Ends there though I’m afraid and I like Lindor take him in a second.

I never said Lindor was better because he has more HRs. Simply pointed out a milestone on the way to maybe being the all time SS HR leader.

Whining that Soto wishes he was still a Yankee. Getting bent because Lindor has more HRs than Jeter. What happened to Yankee fans? Did the Sox take your heart out coming back from 3-1?

I didn’t whine once about Soto could care less and I could care less about how many HRs Lindor has in compared to Jeter. I’m happy for the dude he’s a good guy actually even like the Mets in the NL. Just have been bombarded by Mets fans about Lindor being a better player so reaction warranted. Might not have been your intent but oh well.

You didn’t like that some posters questioned the long term viability of the signing. And that threre are rumblings about him not being happy…so you posted Lindor stats to rile up Yankee fans and troll those posters.

You know that the idea that you posted this stat just because it’s interesting is laughable.

At least you did not try to use rings to try and make this argument. I think, Soto was just seen jogging to first trying to stretch a double into a single………
