Question for people in the know - viewing practices is a big part of the recruiting process for us, How would it work with these transfers we're after and with McNeeley? Presumably there won't be any practices to view for quite a while.

Perhaps i'm missing something
Bring them on campus and lock them in a gym with Cam Spencer for 2 hours. They’ll get all the info they need.

I think that Liam is a really good player but much more limited than Castle athletically. He can definitely play within a system very well and his shooting should translate. I think McNeeley will be good, and after looking closer at who is coming back next year, I could see him playing anywhere from 15/18-25 mins per game depending how Hurley does in Portal Combat season. I'd say if McNeeley is starting next year, it will be an uphill climb to get back to where UConn has been the past two seasons. Personally I'd want him in a 7th man role as a freshman then think he'd be ready to shine as a sophomore. But honestly... Hurley knows what he's doing, so whatever he does will be the right thing (assuming McNeeley does indeed become a Husky).
McNeeley holds offers from every school in the country man, he’s a day one starter everywhere, Team USA starter. He’d slide right into the 3, now an offensive weakness becomes a strength, teams sagged off of Castle all year! He shoots 50% from. 3 vs the best competition. The spacing will be much better. He has great positional size for a small forward he will suffocate smaller wings, and out rebound them like Castle.

Let’s just let it play out Mrs. McNeeley.

I love Liam, but he doesn’t even start for his high school team.

That team is absurdly stacked though.

1, 13, 14, 16, 25, 80 in the class of 2024 nationally and a 7th man going to ODU.

Did they win the NCAA tournament?

I want him as much as the next guy but he’s not a lock to start, right? (Assuming we get him.)

A friend of mine who used to work at my school took a job on the admissions team at Montverde Academy when her and family moved to Florida the year that AJ Griffin was a senior.

She's an incredibly sweet person and hilariously clueless when it comes to sports. Prior to the start of winter break, my friend, her husband and newborn son were going to drive back to Connecticut for the holidays all the way from Florida. They offered AJ Griffin a ride back to New York, since it's on the way, he politely, but understandably declined.

I don’t know what Arkansas fans are expecting. Before this season Muss had been to 2 straight elite 8’s and lost to the eventual national champs both times of I’m not mistaken. How much better do they think Cal is gonna do than that?
He won’t he will flame out in the not so sweet 16s but with much better players!

No, he isn't but the fact he didn't start in high school has no bearing on that either.

None of Hawkins, Jackson or DC started for Hurley as true frosh. It took Sanogo half a season to become a starter. And Karaban became a starter after the opening game when Johnson got hurt. The only frosh who walked into a starting spot under Hurley on day one was Castle, and he came here as a likely lottery pick on day one.

Is McNeeley good enough to be a starter next year? Maybe. But given that we don’t even know our roster for next year, and what we think we have coming back, we’ll have to see.

There’s so much talent at MVA that Boyle sits a different player at the beginning of each game; even Flagg didn’t start every game.

Yeah, a lot of Boneyard talk and not a peep that the staff has engaged with him.

Whether he starts depends on Karaban and Stewart. If Karaban is back I imagine we flex 3-4 between those three guys. Could give him a few minutes at 2 in some matchups.

Are we really worried about splitting two positions across 3 guys? Duke has like 7 guys that play 3-4. Highly rated too. It’s clear to me that Ross is more of a guard than I thought.
