Liam McNeeley Appreciation Thread

I am not into hyperbole... but considering the circumstances, the way other guys were playing, and it is on the road in Hurley's personal House of Horrors?

That is the greatest single game performance I have seen in my almost 40 years of watching Husky hoops.

Absolutely amazing performance by Liam! And in only his 2nd game back from a significant injury? Wow, just WOW!

There is no way he's a freshman, what poise and calmness in the middle of a tough road game in front of a sold out rabid crowd, someone check his birth certificate!

The kid is a stud, we're so lucky to have him!!
They should check birth certificate of Ashworth too- didn’t they say he has played 150 college games? I know he’s 24 years old

I said it early on: Liam is my hero.

I hope someone has screen shotted after he got the layup and foul over their center and he had FIERCE on his face.

Hopefully Dan Hurley realizes it. It's a conversation for another day because we won, but the ball was right back in Karaban's hands on the possession when we needed to score under 2 minutes, granted he scored on one of the two possessions
Hurley is way too stubborn sometimes. McNeeley is one of the best players we've ever had and he still wants the dude who looks like he has Freddy Krueger in his head with the ball at the end.

He fell just a few points short from setting the mark for the most points by a Freshman this year. I believe Flagg had a 42-point game.

Can we talk about how they cleaned up their turnover situation? Only 6 tonight!
That was mostly a function of how Creighton defends, they aren't a ball pressure team, but still a positive thing.

So, tell me again how Liam's injury is going to keep him out of the lottery and ensure his return next year.

Beyond the gutsy shot making, he had a couple moments where you can see how amazing his calm and instincts are. The loose ball he grabbed after being on the floor, picked it up calmly, assessed the floor and took it right to the rim. The smart foul end of game to send Neal to the line. Was also fearless taking it at Kalk and finishing. A game for the ages right there. Kind of effort that makes you feel lucky to be a fan, seeing a kid that talented come out. Picked up every other player on the floor tonight.

Many of us here knew that January was going to be ugly without Liam. February is spring come early. Here’s hoping to a great finish to the year with a healthy Liam. Special player.
