It would probably be disheartening to have a picture of each poster put up next to their name, as then you would know you've been arguing with a bunch of teenagers.

I would like to compare stats late in big games. In my memory, that is where MJ was most exceptional. I'm open to my memory being biased by nostalgia. But I think people are making too much of the difference between two of the greatest players ever born.

It's a little tough to compare only because you can probably pick and choose which data you want to show in order to make your point. But here is an article that shows Lebron and Jordan basically had the same numbers when shooting in the final 5 seconds in the 4th quarter or overtime in the playoffs.

Also has a list with Ray ranked number one so an extra bonus point. The numbers are from May of 2015.

In the Playoffs, LeBron James Is More Clutch than Kobe

Dude, just own that you are a hater. Don't run away from it. Just admit it. If you're going to be foolish, at least own up to hating him.
This generation seems to like using the "hate" word totally out of context. Time to grow up boys and pick a better word that fits your issue.
What I "DON'T LIKE" is the NBA antics which is now turning into what soccer has to deal with. And it has to do with with anyone performing these antics to their advantage.
Shut up and play the game Harding!

Thanks!
The last graphic certainly leans toward MJ but the others all look about even. So I guess we boomers (and gen x-rs) do have our memory of Mike clouded with a bit of nostalgia.

It's definitely overused but when a person allows their feelings for a particular player to completely override any form of rational thought it is probably applicable.

As for antics, I don't dispute that they exist but to the extent to which they are worse now than they were before is probably a creation of the memory. Our perception is amplified by the evolution of technology.

When you continue to call people "haters" when you don't know the person yes you are a d**chebag!

You're awfully defensive about it. You're reminding me of the people that talk about wanting to redistribute wealth but you get all uptight when being called a socialist. Honestly, if you don't want to be called a hater, just don't express opinions that make you sound like one. I don't need to know you to know you're a hater. You're making that abundantly clear in this thread.

This was a cool speech Lebron paying his respects to his teammates but but but he swore there are kids there what a horrible example he is setting.

James is a Ray Allen miracle shot and a Kyrie Irving dagger 3 away from being 1-6 in the finals. Instead, he is 3 and 4.
The delta he brings to teams is enormous. Cleveland goes from finalist to last, IIRC. Miami goes from finals to out of playoffs or 8th seed, IIRC.
Jordan took a year off and the rest of the team went to finals.
LeBron doesn't get the respect he deserves for how valuable he has been to his team.
It would have almost been better for him, in our fickle sports viewing world, to lose before the finals. Think about it. What sounds better to Joe-Know-Nothing - Won 3 out of 4 finals. Or won 3 out of 7 finals. ?? Instead of viewing the additional 3 losses as a sign of his greatness, they are viewed as a sign of failure. Unreal. W/o LBJ, are the 2016 Cavs a playoff team?

It's hard to argue against the fabulous Michael Jordan and LeBron has definitely made a case for consideration the best ever....but ( in that we're not discriminating by position) we have to add Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to those high on our All-Time best list.
Kareem starred in the NBA for 20 seasons. He ended with a record six-time NBA MVP awards, he was a record 19-time NBA All-Star, a 15-time All-NBA selection and an 11-time All Defensive team member.
He was the member of 6 NBA championships and was twice voted the NBA Finals MVP.
Finally.....he's the NBA's all-time leading scorer, 3rd all-time rebounder and 3rd all-time shot blocker.
I think he qualifies for some recognition among the very best!

Heartfelt and funny, but, yeah, open to all. Although I probably would have used the same language.;)

P.S....... Who are the cute blonde and brunette right behind the players?

Wrong. Jordan took a year off and the Bulls lost in the second round to the Knicks. They finished third in the East.

With a healthy Irving and Love getting a lot of touches, no way this Cleveland team sans LeBron isn't similar to that Bulls team. The 93-94 Bulls were Pippen and flotsam.

MJ could also afford to get a breather on the bench, in fact the clinching game 6 I believe the Blazer has a 15 point lead to start the 4th and Phil had decided to roll the dice and have MJ start the 4th quarter on the bench the bulls cut the deficit to about 6 by the time MJ returned and well the rest is history, no way would this Cavs team have had that luxury to have Lebron get a breather.

Of course, you're right. I'm wrong. Have no idea how I got that thought stuck in my head. ! Doh!
