I actually never imagined Holly would be able to control the team and impose any real offensive concepts, so I wasn't expecting any change to the TN attack. From the last years of Pat with Simmons, through Massengale in the first years of Holly, and now to Diamond the individual offensive player has been the TN calling card.
What I had expected with the talent on the team, was better individual offensive play. Diamond managing/struggling with her leg issues was a little unexpected, Russell not playing individually any better than she has, and the really poor shooting by all the others were also a bit unexpected. Graves who I think is actually their best player and has been since she arrived, I always expected to have a hard time because she needs a functioning offensive system to thrive. To see TN waste her natural talent is disheartening and a little painful.

I agree Eric. As bad a coach as Holly is, they still shouldn't have a problem with Wichita St. Graves won this game for them with her effort on the offensive boards. A lot of their fans are under the mistaken impression that all will be great if they just change coaches. That couldn't be further from the truth. They have no perimeter game and a 6'6" center who couldn't dominate on the inside against considerably shorter players from a team ranked around #200. If you can't produce impressive stats against the likes of Wichita St, you have more problems than just coaching.
+10000000 I've came to the conclusion that our players just suck! *shrugs*

Good people - please don't post what you think the players are thinking or feeling when you are projecting a negative view of them. Feel free to post links to news articles where players speak about their motivation or thoughts but don't make up harmful speculation about players - any player, any team.

Thanks.

These are Warlick players so if their play sucks, a large part of that is on her for recruiting them. If they don't pass the ball, a lot of that is on Warlick for not teaching them. If they aren't making the effort needed a lot of that is on Warlick for not benching them. If their offense stinks, a lot of that is on Warlick for apparently not making the effort to scrap Summitt's outdated game plan. How long would Auriemma tolerate the sort of crappy play that we are seeing at UTenn? In fqact, how long would Summitt tolerate it?

Changing coaches is not going to be the cure all for what's ailing UTenn, but it is a step in the right direction.
