Well lemme go outside and check to see if I can hear any sounds of weeping and gnashing of teeth that might be headed down from the west

Law coached the guards, and if anyone has watched UT for past few years you'd know that the guard position hasn't been strongest. So, it just might be a blessing that Law moved on.

Dawn gets a TN player and coach in a matter of weeks. Dawn's new nickname... "Swiper the Fox".

Yep. Dawn had two needs and looked no further than her biggest conference rival. At what point will the love turn to hate in Knoxville.

That's fine. She IS a very strong recruiter though and we need that.

Dawn is very hands on with our guards/wings.

That's a good question. Ya know supposedly both Holly and Dawn have a lot of respect for each other and genuinely mutually like each other. I don't know how much of that is true but at some point when your players and staff are being poached by the rest of the SEC (lets do not forget the departure of a previous assistant to Kentucky) you gotta start to wonder. However, maybe this is all part of TN's master plan to rise back to the top of WCBB. Who knows?

I was talking more about Lady Vol fans.

When Elzy left it was a mutual parting of ways. Interestingly, Elzy's job as Tennessee's recruiting coordinator was not filled by Law but by someone from the outside, Sharrona Reeves. Law will now take over as recruiting coordinator at South Carolina.

Assistant coaches move on from time to time, with the exception of UConn, which hasn't lost a full time assistant going on 9 seasons.

With that said, coaching continuity is important to the success of any WBB program. Holly is now left with only one experienced assistant coach at UT. That's going to make her job all the more difficult.

Cant blame Jolette Law .... she is from south Carolina.... and what kind of career move is it to stay under Holly W, who readily admits in public she doesn't know how to fix her team problems....

And before that, what were they? 37-2?
Not sure maybe close. Like most empires, time and chance will happen. 3-3 is not bad IMO. USC is becoming a consistent contender in WCBB, which is good for the SEC and WCBB. UT raised the bar and USC has caught up..

Ms Law is from South Carolina so she is going home.

The story goes that when Coach Stringer recruited Ms Law to Iowa, Ms Law's parents were not too keen on her going so far away from home to Iowa. Coach Stringer assured the Laws that they would be able to listen to all the Hawkeye games on the radio. Ms Law's father, unconvinced, then pulled an old radio from under the sink and challenged Coach Stringer to back up her claim. Stringer fiddled with the dials, hooked up a coat hanger, and fiddled around some more until, loud and clear, the call sign for the Des Moines station came through. With her parents' blessing, Jolette Law went on to a stellar career at Iowa.
