When Andre was on the I am Rapaport podcast he said the Kyrie was one of his best friends. Could possibly be meeting up with him if he's still in town. He also took a pic with Hurley at the HOF ceremony and could just be in the area and stopping by to say hi.

Only real connection Kyrie has had with Bob Hurley is that when Kyrie was ready to enter high school, his summer league coach called Hurley and suggested that he open a space for Irving - Hurley never called back so Irving went to St Peters. I heard this when the Celtics did a special on KI and KI related the story .
Of course Bob Hurley and KI crossed paths a few time while Irving played in NJ but no bonding
I think he may have been on campus to see Geno and to be a repeat guest on "Holding Court". Last year KI and Sue Bird were the guests on Geno's inaugural show so maybe this is the anniversary show

Bob Sr.’s been to a lot of Wagner, Buffalo, ASU, and Rhode Island games the last several years. He was definitely a fixture at URI games last year, but he doesn’t offer advice unless asked. He’s kind of a quiet, nervous wreck when he watches his kids coach.

Agreed, if there is a gaping hole then the dam is less likely to break. The damn pressure is relieved and a lot of damn recruit water will come out, but one at a time vs a deluge. I guess if we don't want to kill the townsfolk the gaping hole might be a better damn strategy than knowingly fortifying a dam that will collapse all at once. We've got a lot of dam questions.
