Kofi Cockburn, the 6-foot-10 center from Oak Hill (VA) Academy, is planning to take visits to Kentucky, UConn, Florida State, and Illinois, he told ZAGSBLOG Sunday at the Nike Academy.

“Kentucky and UConn are both blue blood schools that get the job done,” said Cockburn. “They’re known for winning championships and as places to get better.”

Our various Queens connections on staff have to help us here. Wiseman is interesting here because if he goes to Kentucky that puts us in the lead but if he goes to Memphis we can pitch him on facing him in conference. I like our position here all things considered.

That was legit the worst comment I recall from a player on a school he was taking an OV at.

I'm just hoping we get at least one of him and Achiuwa. Missing on both would hurt. Getting both though would be a pretty crazy turnaround

I think they’re recruiting him but have not offered yet. He seems like more of a plan B for them. The entire top 50 is littered with quality bigs.

He doesnt really fit their mold of big man. I think that works in our favor.
