he needs to stop by and ask him for his set playbook. UCONN does an excellent job on back screens, high low and dribble drive kick out. First half was a clinic against SC. Geno can flat out coach.

The only similarities between the men's and women's game is court size and the hoop height. It ends there.

Obviously, Geno can really coach and runs great stuff, but it isn't like we can grab their play book and ask Brimah or Nolan to turn into Breanna Stewart on offense. Frankly, the women won today with just individual talent more than a sophisticated offensive game plan full of weaves and cuts. Jefferson and Tuck mostly just created their own shots and KML hit 3s with defenders right on her. The best part of our halfcourt offense was when someone got deep post position, they held position, got the ball and took advantage.

As an aside, Jefferson is such a weapon - she can face guard your best shooter out of the game and blow by just about anyone at the other end. Showed a couple Kemba type moves tonight. She has come a long way.

Is there a more dire moment in sport than being a number one team and traveling to Storrs to play UConn?

You have to know that you're getting on a plane to lose both your head and your ranking.

Then you don't know much about BB. Hugh difference in athletic ability, speed, jumping ability. But set plays are set plays and Geno does and excellent job on set play and the offense he runs. Ball movement, back cuts, post ups and high low post ups is all about basketball. Doesn't matter if it's men or woman.

Geno's roster genuinely is the female version of Kentucky's.

If Kentucky was playing middle school teams. There is a huge difference in the players UConn gets and what other teams do, not enough talent to go around like in men's basketball.

Shut up. Seriously the only one that doesn't know anything about basketball is the OP. Imagine being able to run plays vs other women? Wow, because they're so quick and athletic right mcs. get a grip on the game and then come back with a new thought ok because you're way off on this one.

By the way, they schooled USC, it was great to watch. They would beat them 10 of 10. Hell they rebounded less than stellar and some girl made 3 threes who was shooting less than 20% for USC and they still trounced them. Amazing Stanford beat them but I doubt they lose again, it's not close.

Even Geno would think this thread is ridiculous, not taking anything away from him the guy is special, he his way ahead of his own sport. It does help to have the female version of KD in Stewie, Melo in KML, Kemba in Jefferson and Rodman in Stokes.

No way not taking anything from Geno. He made Staley look awful tonight. His girls are so much better and prepared it's laughable. It's all on him and the staff because the USC team has some real high recruits and decent players, they just don't play the game the same way. And really they just don't look as smart. He has 2-3 girls on the bench that would all start for the nations #1 women team prior to tonight. Chong, Stokes and Williams hardly played and they are better than 3 of their starters. That is a testament in Geno finding and coaching kids who fit. That Gabby Williams is going to be really special if she stays healthy.

See, I like the women's team as long as no one is trying to compare anything!;)

It's funny to me that in all of athletics, men's and women's sports draw no parallels almost universally except men and women's college basketball by people in Connecticut.

You can appreciate the men and appreciate the women, but please don't compare the two.

The women's team is great and I love seeing them destroy the competition but you have to realize D1 women's bball and D1 men's bball are basically two different sports.

If Uconn men players stayed four years we would have AD and DD on our team right now.
Scoe,

I see your point but other teams would have their guys as well. Duke would still have Kyrie Irving, Austin Rivers (was good in college). Kentucky would have Noel, Randle and many other guys. Kansas would still have Wiggins, Embid etc... The men's game would be incredibly deep if guys had to stay 4 years but it's not the reality we live in.
