SEC Football money keeps paying dividends for women sports and coaches. SEC has improved lots in softball and gymnastics and just won their first ever NC in Volleyball. Now they are working at getting BBall back from the golden days of Tennessee. Its Official Kim is leaving Baylor for LSU. Press Conference Monday at 5PM
Will Kim get a Pay Raise, she made $2.27 Million Dollars at Baylor? Will she now be the Highest Paid WBB Caoch?
Yeah ive also noticed the SEC starting to really improve in womens basketball. SC, A&M, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia all were Top 25 teams last year. Vandy just hired Ralph, LSU just got Mulkey. Should be a very competitive conference.SEC Football money keeps paying dividends for women sports and coaches. As for Mulkey beiing highest paid WCBB coach, she's worth it. Several years younger than Geno or Tara. Plus she got in the Women's BBall HOF before both of them. Kim-2000, Tara-2002, and Geno 2006.
The WBHOF point could not be more irrelevant. Kim was inducted in 2000 as a player, not as a coach. Last I checked, Geno never had the opportunity to shine as a women's college basketball player.SEC Football money keeps paying dividends for women sports and coaches. Not sure how many slots LSU has available. i thought 2 but could be wrongNow back to the LSU situation, Kim is going and I think there will be at least 4 players, if not more that go with her.
Has NaLyssa Smith entered it with UConn her chosen destination????? My spouse's third cousin heard it from a friend who heard it from another friend...Transfer portal just blew up. Baylor would be lucky if they have at least 5 players available next season. Just don’t what decent coach can takeover that program now. Should’ve paid her what she wanted.

I think he woud have been great as WCBB player. The WBHOF point could not be more irrelevant. Kim was inducted in 2000 as a player, not as a coach. Last I checked, Geno never had the opportunity to shine as a women's college basketball player.
I believe that the NCAA expanded the slots this coming season because of the Covid-19 extension for the players. Not sure how many slots LSU has available. i thought 2 but could be wrong

but thanks for pointing this out!!!Just because Nikki was a trash recruiter doesn't mean kids won't be interested. Florida and Ole miss were making top recruits final 5 despite being a bottom dweller programs. If Kim makes the move, we will see how she does with an LSU program that hasn’t seen the kind of success as Baylor and hasn’t generally been a school that makes the final list for most top WBB recruits.
The golden ducky forgot to mention the newly retired pickle from Indiana in his list of runner-ups. I can't for the life of me imagine why.The WBHOF point could not be more irrelevant. They also gave her credit for being an assistant coach at La Tech for 15 years back the, Still looks the same. She got into the HOF as a player, not coach
In January 2020 I got to watch in person as a Fargas-coached LSU team dismantled a chronically overrated Kentucky team. A good time was had by all.The golden ducky forgot to mention the newly retired pickle from Indiana in his list of runner-ups. I can't for the life of me imagine why.
Congratulations to Kim. I wish her and the flying wardrobe well in their next exciting adventure.
I wonder what Alabama grad-transfer PG Jordan Lewis is thinking right now after just signing with Baylor last week . . . 🤣
It would not have made sense to mention Muffet given she is not coaching so definitely does not deserve to be highest paid. coach. The only two coaches that could make an argument to be paid more than Mulkey are Geno and Tara which is why I mentioned them along with my irrelavant fact. The golden ducky forgot to mention the newly retired pickle from Indiana in his list of runner-ups. I don’t think recruiting violations stop some coaches. Not unless she wants to start her new job with a recruiting violation
I think there is a thread over there but maybe that one was merged with the one here. 🤔Shouldn't this be over on the general forum?![]()
You might be surprised. I think money was not the driving force here.Kim is definitely the highest paid women’s basketball coach now. She probably wrote her new contract herself.
Most unfortunately, and I do mean that, in the world of college sports (BUSINESS), she becomes collateral damage.
Hopefully, and I do not know all of the rules (who does?), maybe she can withdraw her transfer to Baylor, and recommit to a program that better suits her goals (if this changes that).
Only fair.

They also gave her credit for being an Academic All-American. Somehow I don't think her skill at writing English papers was the thing that got her in the HOF.They also gave her credit for being an assistant coach at La Tech for 15 years back the, Still looks the same.

She wins four State Championships at Hammond High, and graduates valedictorian with a perfect 4.0 GPA which is pretty coolThey also gave her credit for being an Academic All-American. Somehow I don't think her skill at writing English papers was the thing that got her in the HOF.
