Per Geno, Sarah asked to be taken out of the game for a breather 5 times today. Every time he told her no. Sarah played a little over 38 minutes today, and she was absolutely BADASS!!!

Blanca! till she entered, UConn just didn't look good....she came in and suddenly the game turned...she had 7 points in the first quarter out of the 11 of UConn...on defense she was scaring the NC players with great defense...steals, deflections...

Blanca for KMB, for being second high in points (16) and steals (4) in 23 minutes, most efficient shooter (64%, 67% from 3), diving for a loose ball when up by 20+ in the 4th quarter.

I saw that. It remind me that after last season, after being named NFOY, when Sarah was asked what she needed to work on? Sarah’s astute answer was, “Leadership.” She was probably echoing what she heard from Geno as well as her mother.
