Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

When it seemed like no one else could get a basket, Azzi put the team on her back and made big shots to hold off the furious Michigan comeback. That, my friends, is the definition of badass.
 
I think for this game you just need the hockey 3 stars with Fudd, Strong and Swords. Fudd was huge down the stretch for the winning team and Swords was the Michigan offense in the 4th. It was like watching an old NBA game with Bird and Dominique or Bird and Magic trading blows.
I think no news will be the best news, but I wonder if the minutes got to Strong a little or if she got a little banged up being on the bottom of 3 or 4 loose ball scrums. Twice, I was pretty nervous when she was down and players were jumping on her legs. She still got rebounds, but she wasn't the same after the 1st. Couldn't tell if she was gassed or a bit beat up.
Anyways, Syla Swords was great and has one of the best names in the women's game. Still, I know the last one she went left, but she looked much more comfortable going right and stepping back. Don't know why there wasn't the adjustment to try and force her left more.

Am I allowed to give it to someone from the other team. Because there were a couple badasses on each squad.

Hell no! If Kib were here he take you guys out back to the woodshed for even suggesting it.

(And, for what it's worth, You're supposed to name a single badass, Not two, not four, not the entire team and certainly not the opposition. Also, there's not supposed to be any honorable mentions, though I've broken that rule a few times over the years.)

Wow! Message received. But to be clear, I didn't actually name anyone from the other team. This was a rhetorical device to highlight the context within which we can see exactly how badass our badasses were.

Sorry. Last night and this morning I’m still in a funk about no one stepping up to take the pressure off of Sarah and Azzi
 
Azzi would be the obvious answer but I have to go with Sara. Not only for the 20/16 and playing all 40 minutes, she took a pounding on offense with at least 3 players on her when she touched the ball and also took a beating on every rebound and never complained. She was just fierce. To me she was the definition of a Badass player in this game.

Now that's the way I understand it. Far too often people are using this award in place of MVP.

I agree with Azzi's nomination in this case, but for me a moment of absolute bad-assery (you've even got me using the US spelling!) was KK's dagger 3 out of nowhere.

I agree KK was a valid candidate for the award. Here are the criteria as laid out by Kibitzer, for whom the award is named:

I agree with Azzi but KK has to have a small piece of that Award as her 3 and layup at the end was extremely timely!
