It's hard to pick against Sarah who played maybe the best game of her young career at UConn. With that said, my BADASS today was Blankita, who clearly has arrived and will only get better.

The end-to-end play where Blanca grabbed the rebound, dribbled full court, and drove through defenders for a layup made me pretty excited for the next three years.

Blanca was amazing but The Badass has to be Sarah for her sheer dominance all over the court, the full speed dive for the loose ball, the ferocious rebounding, the two dimes to Serah on the fast break, and the way she adamantly called the team to huddle near the end of the 1st quarter when the D was clearly not up to par. She was the best player on the floor. (+41!)

As I sit and rewatch this game I couldn’t argue against any player that got minutes. I’m ecstatic about where the team is this early.

Sarah pick’s up where last year ended. So can be nominated every game.

Ash scoring is still off but she’s into everything and disrupts what the opponent wants to do.

Doing what she did in this game. Second game? New team. New country. New league. New rules. New language. Learning and fitting into Geno’s system.

Strong… without the knee pads

I noticed the missing kneepads too. And, for the second game in a row, Serah didn't wear her leg sleeve.

Bianca is exciting and showed that she has huge potential but her mistakes mitigated some of her 18 points. Sarah played at a higher level than anyone else in the game and is likely already the best player in the country. And what a game she had! I take joy in knowing that Bianca is just a freshman and still learning the American college/Geno's game. I expect four exciting years from her.
