Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award | The Boneyard

Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

Ash. Sarah would be the MVP but Ash plays like a B.A. every time I see her. Her intensity is infectious. She seems to get her hands on so many balls that don’t show up on the stat sheet, but change the play. I was leaning toward Chen until Ash made that nifty transition behind the back move reminiscent of the one NC State’s Aisha James made near the end of double overtime the other night, which I thought was the play of the year.

In conveying this mythical "award," we Boneyarders (myself included) have a lamentable tendency to limit our scope to just one end of the floor. While her offensive performance tonight was just average (for her), Ash's defense was unrelentingly suffocating and so truly badass that she gets my vote!

Cry “Havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war,
Even tho I choose Sarah I gave you a Like for the quote from William Shakespeares Julius Ceasar ....act 3 scene 1.....impressive
I continue to be dazzled by the breadth and depth of knowledge displayed here on the Boneyard…..;)

I think Ash must have caused 10 held ball calls in the last 3 games
I was thinking the same thing last night. It's like she's thinking "That's MY ball" the whole game. If she was two inches taller she'd be a double-digit rebounder.

Despite the slow start yesterday, it seems Geno has his lineup pretty well set. Kaitlyn has shown she belongs with the starters and having Ash, KK and Aubrey on call is spot on. Also the ability to turn on the full press when needed. Additionally being able to change posts from big (Jana) to small (Sarah) is another plus. Creighton is a very good team who will give someone some pain in the NCAA tournament.
