Kibitzer Memorial Badass Award

Sarah Strong double double
In any other sport conference play is a nightmare, for us- we use it to learn and test. It's easier to focus on growth and depth when we're up 30. Tough road coming. Oh yeah, and Sarah

The Iowa State game is at the Mohegan Sun

For sheer toughness and badassery, Morgan Cheli.
This is pretty much what the Badass award is for. It’s not a high scorer or most outstanding player award, it’s for badassery

Yes, that girl wants to play, and packs a lot into a few minutes. Geno will reward her and rightly so. Yes, Morgan is also my winner.

I didn't see the game, so I'm so happy to hear this - been rooting quietly for her all season long...!

Paige-Sarah-Morgan.
Great game, it was loud.
Paige fought through the muggings.

My Badass is the WHOLE TEAM, for everyone scoring and not letting the ND game get into their psyche. Solid TEAM EFFORT! GO HUSKIES!!!!

As the post-game pressers pointed out: Morgan creates "havoc".
Paige noted that Morgan has the capacity to play 1 -5. Geno
said having Morgan on the floor give the defense "one more
shooter to have to contend with". Someone also noted the
importance of Morgan getting into the passing lanes... (something
that DID NOT HAPPEN in the N.D. game). Geno noted that
the playing time minutes for Morgan came from ICE based on
the Huskies' team practice time..e.g.. what Morgan makes happen on the
floor = "havoc" on both ends of the floor. Geno also noted
that Morgan "impacts on the game " ... "SHE IS GOING TO GET
MORE MINUTES". Hum....it seems like doing many good things
add up!"

Caught CD on the radio while driving back to Queens and she reminded us that Morgan hasn't been fully available for practice until recently AND she lost the summer.

Also, if folks were wondering where KK and Chen were....making Ransom's game a misery.

True held her to 7pts....great job!

Y'all, I know this award is about tenacity, grit, etc., etc., but:

You have a frosh who dropped 17 points, pulled down 14 boards, had 5 assists, 2 blocks, and a steal, all in 24 minutes. If that's not badass, I genuinely done know what is. It's I guess, at least, a STRONG performance. Wowwie. She's sure fun to watch, and she makes it look SO effortless.

OT: I don't want to muck up your March contest thread, but there is no tie breaker. If UConn wins it all you are going to have a lot of ties.

Finally watched the game last night. I have to give the Bad Ass award to Kaitlyn Chen who had the primary job of locking down the BE’s leading scorer, Kelsey Ransom. For the game Ransom scored only 7 pts on 2/9 shooting with 9 turnovers. :)

Honorable Mention to KK who had the secondary responsibility to dog Ransom all over the court.

This is true, but, scoring a lot of points is pretty badass, so often there's overlap.

I hope you get a chance to see her play for extended periods of time. Watching her brings joy to my heart, she is 100% invested in the game and her teammates. Geno found a winner in Morgan. Next, I hope to watch Allie blossom, she has the goods as well.

That's what we all want. The real reason for that contest, which i guess was proven, is trying to get all the people who said we are garbage after the ND game, and that Paige doesn't have pieces, or Geno can't recruit bigs....well if that's the case then you should be more than confident replying with an "out in the round of 32" or "sweet sixteen at best".

Notice that last time I checked 95% responders have us winning it all.

Ask fans to back up their negative hammering of the team and they're no longer so tough...
