Paige did what Paige does, but shout out to Ice! After averaging 16 minutes, she played the full 40 and didn’t commit a single foul in the second half.

Paige has so many BA awards, she has no place to put them. So today, my BA goes to Ice, who played her heart out for all 40 minutes!!!

The original purpose of this award was not to award the best player (else it would have been called something like Game MVP), it was supposed to be awarded to someone who showed up tough and resolute against adversity.

Given the original purpose of this award, I vote for Brady.

I know lots of people want to reward ICE for a clutch fill in job in a tough spot and rightly so but this isn't a question today. We just saw one of the great Husky performances through the years. An incredible complete game from the master.

Sorry Digger I get your sentiment but "tough and resolute against adversity" also describes what Paige did. She didn't even have a TO. They would be close to tackling her and she would roll it out to a teammate.

Debbie: Stepping in for AE how did you prepare/mentally prepared?

Every day in practice we prepare for that. I’ve been watching her. We switch out in practice cause short handed. It was fun though. Teammate have been building my confidence.

D:40 minutes. Fatigue?
Media timeouts def help. Coach pushes beyond that. Couple of moments. It was fun.

D: Defense? Strategy.

Pack in paint. Close out on main shooters. Wasn’t surprised we performed cause we focused on it. *Geno walks by and bellows 'Aw shut up.' Laugh.

D: You outscored Points in paint, and hit that 3

Fellt great expecially after the calls before. I was a little frustrated so glad it went in.

Ice bath, massages, good food, good dinner. Get ready for that title game.

My badass award goes to Paige. Honable mention goes to Ice. Paige was on fire, and let Marquette know she came to play for herself and teammates!! Ice answered the call, and she played strong!!

Paige, BA, and the Pagettes!! What a game!! And to top off the win, I love the smile on Ice’s face, as well as the chest bump that included Aaliyah!!
These freshmen have suddenly grown up. But they have to do it again tomorrow, whether or not Aaliyah‘s in the lineup. Go Huskies! Go UConn!!

IMHO the whole 7 eligible players deserve a piece of the BAD ASS Award!
One of the 10 best players in Division I WBB is out and they played with such tenacity,giant hearts to play possibly the greatest defensive game in the history of WCBB!
Holding a really good offensive team to 29 points and NO POINTS for the last 15 minutes, I was crying for the last 15 minutes! I am so proud of them! Geno was almost speechless at the end interview! It was beyond belief!
After KK got her 3rd foul and went out with Geno pi--ed, Paige Bueckers showed her heart and leadership by talking to KK on the bench encouraging her to hang in there!
What ever happens the rest of this season nobody on the BY should give any player some grief about their play, after our girls gave us that performance today

Brady. UConn missed Aaliyah for sure, but things coulda gone south quickly. Ice played about 15 minutes more than she has in a couple of years, and I was worried she might get some fatigue fouls late, but she didn’t.
