A G5 merger wouldn't really help UConn. There are barely any non-AAC G5 teams in the region. Marshall is the only one i can think of.

What would help UConn is for only Men's football and basketball to stay with AAC, while all other sports join the Big East.

Even better, or men's football stays in AAC.
