No interest in that garbage.
Really? To make $5m in the Big East and struggle to schedule games? With 5 Big XII games our FB TV rights would probably go up significantly. We'd turn that down
Hah. Love it. New mantra:Yuck Formark- no hoops w/out FB- if if its that important then he can bring FB along too.
As long as we can jump to the ACC with no penalty when the time comes. We might not get football membership right away, but we could probably get a scheduling alliance with Big 12 schools and if we perform, I could see us getting a football invite in the future. Take what you can get at this point. It's survival of the fittest.
If they pay us $25mil a year for it maybe. If the money is even remotely close to Big East money it's a non starter.Really? To make $5m in the Big East and struggle to schedule games? With 5 Big XII games our FB TV rights would probably go up significantly.
Note: I read basketball only as all Olympic sports. So baseball too.
As I said before. You are in the club or not in the club. We are not in the club. So we don’t matter. This is why you have to get in the club, because even the dregs of the club are perceived as superior to those not in it. It functions more like a monarchy.Gotta love this from ESPN: "The four schools in the most precarious situations are Cal, Oregon State, Stanford and Washington State, all of which are without a natural landing spot that would ensure their long-term stability."
Apparently, these same people don't care about UConn's long-term stability as the same advised not to move to the B12.
What's next for the Big Ten, SEC, Florida State, Notre Dame and remaining Pac-12 schools?
Following one of the most historic days in conference realignment, here are the biggest questions facing college football moving forward.www.espn.com

Give us $20 million per year, a bowl tie-in, a 5-6 game football arrangement, and automatic all-sports invite in 2031.Yall realize there will be 3 conferences on TV and competing for titles and the Big East ain’t one of them?
I’d take it
I think the Catholics can hold together if it is one at a time (BCU is a different set of circumstances because Flutie made them a football powerhouse by throwing one pass that one time). If there is anything to BB only from Yormark, he’s going to offer our seat to Saint John’s (hilarious I know or Gtown or Nova) if we don’t bite.
This sucks
Also this. A small catholic school regional conference is not going to compete with those Goliath’sIf there is anything to BB only from Yormark, he’s going to offer our seat to Saint John’s (hilarious I know or Gtown or Nova) if we don’t bite.

It would have to be a guarantee at their next contract that we’d be full membersI’d do it ONLY if it’s for minimum $20 mil/year for all Olympic sports, with a football schedule tie-in of 4/5 games a year rotating (WVU/UCF/Cincy/Hou one year, next year the 4 corners etc). I’d miss the hell out of the BE but a basketball schedule with Kansas, Gonzaga, Houston, Cincy, both AZ schools, etc. I can live with. “One foot in the door” as they say.
Probably going for Washington State and Oregon State
That dollar value doesn't happen - but a promise (or some kind) that UConn is a full member the next time they expand could work.I’d do it ONLY if it’s for minimum $20 mil/year for all Olympic sports, with a football schedule tie-in of 4/5 games a year rotating (WVU/UCF/Cincy/Hou one year, next year the 4 corners etc). We’d need a clear path for football also.
