You don't get my point clearly. He can decide who is on his basketball team regardless of what the courts or the AD do. He could say "Wolf, I don't want a guy like you on my team and I don't care what the AD says or what the court says. You're dealing with your anger issues and that's great for you, but you won't play for UConn any more." He could say, "Wolf you are welcome back just as long as you finish your court ordered stuff and the AD approves." Here's what will happen though. If the AD/University approves, he will take Wolf back. If people complain, and some womens groups, for example, absolutely will, as will some others, he will hide behind Warde's ample butt and use that as his excuse. And he will pretend that it was out of his hands. It misses the point, though. Ollie can make this decision and he can make it now. He won't though. In fact, it happens all the time in the "real world." People make decisions and live with the consequences. they don't hide behind someone else's skirts. Don't take the escalator, let someone else carry you. that way if there is a problem you can blame them.
I get it but..........why would he? What is the benefit? To make you feel better? To prove he is a true man of conviction? It does literally nothing for him to make such a pronouncement. He already said they were monitoring his behavior, counseling, grades, etc and would make a decision when the time was appropriate. That seems like a level headed approach to a touch situation. He clearly knows the intimate details of the situation and thinks its worth monitoring the situation instead of either throwing him under the bus or welcoming him back with open arms before that happens. What more do you need from Ollie?
