Notice how "I'm looking for another job." is contained in the phrase "I'm not looking for anorther job.
Damn. Ollie is slick.

I think that we need to read between the lines here.Neill Ostrout@NeillOstrout
UConn coach Kevin Ollie: "I'm not looking for another job."

Ollie on NBA possibilities: "I have two ears. I'm going to listen. ... But nothing's changed."

Ollie says his contract talks with UConn are progressing but has yet to really "sit down" and talk about things.

Ollie said when recruits ask where he'll be in 4 years: 'I'm going to be the #UConn coach, nothing has changed. .

More Ollie: .... I'm not looking for a job I keep telling everyone. ... I want to be here at University of Connecticut.'
The Knicks just struck out with Steve Kerr.
That still leaves the Lakers and Knicks, two major-market franchises willing to spend money, with a coaching vacancy and a very small and unimpressive list of unemployed NBA coaches to choose from.
Lord I hope we get through the next month without losing KO.
5 years @ 5 mil per. That may be to much to turn down.
I disagree. I actually found Kerr's contract to be promising that Ollie would return. First off, the Warriors were desperate. They missed out on their top guy(SVG) and were aware of Kerr's negotiations with the Knicks. If we read between the lines of the Knicks unwillingness to give Kerr 4-5 years, I highly doubt any team in a rebuilding mode(Lakers) would go that far with Ollie. If UConn offers more years at 3plus per, I doubt Ollie leaves for 5 mil. He could coach for life at UConn or atleast the duration of a new 7-10 year deal. In the NBA, he may be out in 3.If that type of contract is offered he will certainly be gone and I don't blame him. Give me a good reason for him to turn that down. He can solidify his family's future and always come back to the college ranks should he fail. While I hope he stays everyone has a price.
