Might be just a rumor but would hate to see him go so soon, before he can see the success he’s helped build.

Knicks just hired Kentucky associate HC Kenny Payne. I don’t like this
It is what it is. Assistant coaches come and go. Kentucky is in a different stratosphere if it comes down to money. Or whoever the other possible choices tbh. Hurleys secret staff and so secret anymore.

He's talking about Indiana, not Kentucky
Would make sense given Archie Miller being familiar with Hurley. Would be a great hire. I feared that when Indiana opened up. He’s familiar with the Big Ten and has similar cache as UConn. Better tax situation. Lots of positives to take the job. Only issue would be Jordan Hawkins who was recruited by Kenya if I believe.

yup, he’s got to do what’s best for him and his family.

from a fan perspective...I would hope if he leaves it’s for a HC job

It’s only conjecture now but would think / hope JHawk is comfortable with the whole staff at this stage, and that Kenya’s departure would not impact his commitment

He is talking about Indiana.

Payne left Kentucky for NYK, Bruiser left Indiana for Kentucky, makes sense.

Hopefully they go after Mike Miller in an effort to get his kid Mason that they are hot after. Miller said he left Memphis to spend more time with his family.

tough part about giving one guy a raise is there's 2 other guys carrying at least equal weight right now.

.-.
Bruiser made 300k/yr, Kenya makes 315k. Unless they’re planning on giving Kenya a huge raise, he’s not leaving the northeast. The reason why he came to UConn was because he wanted to be back on the East Coast..he said that himself when he was hired by Hurley
If those are the numbers great. I was talking in a more general terms as if what possibly could make it a better gig or a reason for him to leave. All I could come up with was money. I actually liked your post so I didnt disagree with it.

The five potential candidates they guess here are Mike Miller, AJ Guyton, Keith Smart, Allen Griffin, and Kevin Kuwik. Cuse already reported that Miller is looking at Griffin at Cuse as a replacement to Flint.

Five Candidates Indiana's Archie Miller Should Consider to Replace Bruiser Flint

Griffin staying Orange

At this point in his career if Kenya wants to make more money, his best bet is staying at UConn for another 2 years, win a national championship in 2022, and then become a head coach at a major P5 program. Going from UConn to a struggling IU is a lateral move at best. He can clean up in the Big East on the recruiting trail
