Looking through web archive.... March 31st during the '09 NCAA tournament after we beat Missouri in the Elite 8 we got up to #1. Season ended next game against Mich St in Detroit Final Four and UNC passed us.

But Kalkbrenner told us Sanogo wasn’t good. Kenpom has us #1 and Sanogo as a top 5 player. Now I just don’t know what to think.

Top 6 in both offensive and defensive efficiency is absurd.

I think the benchmark for national champions is being top 20 in both offense and defense.

I am all in on Hurley and we needed to get rid of KO but please. We’re not Syracuse. We don’t print tee shirts because we’re mid-season #1 in someone’s rankings. UConn will be back when we start winning conference championships and tourney games. And by the way — I have little doubt Danny Hurley would fully agree with this. We’re doing great and our trajectory is great. But we’ve accomplished nothing yet.

Leave it to the lawyer to tell you exactly how happy you’re allowed to be. Been in siberia for years, looking like a #1 out of nowhere. Some people here gonna get excited, try your best to enjoy it .
