That's why he dropped us 10 spots after this win. Our ranking is because he is peeved his bet didn't pay off.

His algorithm isn't wrong. He didn't place a bad bet. He just needs us to be ranked lower to account for his bad bet.

Our defensive rating deserves to get clobbered. 40 spots is excessive, but our Kenpom definitely should have dropped

• Gave up too many points . . . again (dropped our DRtg from 96 to 134)

How do we improve our one on one on ball defense ? If not possible , then should Hurley try mixing in some zone defense even if he hates it ?

Yes and no. I don't recall the exact number, but rebounds were close at halftime. Providence had more O-rebs than we did, but overall it was close. They got a bunch more than we did in 2nd half, even though we were defending the lane better. And we gave up 45 pts in 2nd half, most of it inside.

This is definitely not a KP friendly team - we’ve been winning but it’s been anything but efficient and consistent. You usually need a few dominating performances mixed in to keep that up and we just don’t have much there. We are figuring out how to win. It’s unlikely to get much better with Liam out. Just need to grind out wins.

True ... to an extent. We go up by 10 (I think) in the second half and can't hold the lead, barely hang on at the end? That was with Tarris on the floor. The out of bounds plays on the endline were very scary.
