He went from a 20% 3 point shooter his freshman year at SDSU to 42% in the playoffs this year on the same number of attempts. Amazing growth in just 4 years.
Confused!!! Who was the guy who knocked Kemba down duing a TO drawing a tech foul in our game with SDSU??? Leonard . No?
Smart move by Kemba to flop. When some gives you a gift, you take it.
Many SDSU fans view Kemba the way we do Laettner. They hate him for that flop. Hate him. Oh well, I say. Dumb move by Franklin acting macho, and perhaps smart of Kemba to handle it that way and not act all macho back and create a double-tech.

Kemba was playing chess while San Diego State was playing checkers. When Jamal Franklin declared for the NBA draft, the happiest people were his teammates.Franklin deserved the tech; Kemba was right in his sight-line so he obviously knew he was going to bump him and didn't care. Kemba just sold it very well.![]()

I remember that before that game there was a hardcore SDSU fan on the college basketball Rivals board who was adamant that Leonard was a better player than Kemba. After Kemba dropped 36 on them he made numerous crow posts calling Kemba one of the best college players he had ever seen.

Obviously, but both are the future of the NBA. Leonard's in a good spot, on a team that didn't rely on him that much. However his whole world has changed with expectations soaring. Kemba needs help, Leonard doesn't and that is the big difference right now. As I said earlier I really like Leonard's game.I think Leonard is having a better pro career than Kemba is at the moment.
That's probably true, especially given events of the last week, but they were put in such vastly different situations that it's almost impossible to compare. Kemba's shooting slump second half of this season cost him a lot in statistical analysis and being able to say how much he had improved (although his assists went way up), but he did lead a team from the worst record in NBA history to the playoffs in two years with a lot of responsibility of his shoulders - and with three different coaches in three years. Leonard couldn't have asked for a more stable situation to grow at his own pace.
I think Leonard is having a better pro career than Kemba is at the moment.

You don't think landing on the most stable, successful franchise in the NBA helped Leonard's development? Take nothing away from him, but he wasn't exactly thrown into the fire. Not really impossible to compare, he's a better defender and has improved on offense since entering the league.

That's not what he was arguing though.
