There is only one shot-clock era Husky whose career per-game averages meet or exceed those of Alex Karaban in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Blocks and Steals.

Putting my guess in: this must be Shabazz. I know I remember him leading all categories (at least for a time) as a senior.

Edit: didn’t realize the image already had the answer (it’s beyond tiny on my phone).

IDK, I mean he needs to be some part of the discussion about great UConn players, but when you've got 6 championships, an NIT title, etc., a guy that has none of that is pretty far down the list.
Plus1 final 4😁... if only Dyson....

Milestone Watch Update

Minutes (4278, 4th) - Karaban has passed Chris Smith for 4th all time in MP. He is probably 2 games away from moving into 2nd place.

3PFG (257, 4th) - Karaban is now only 3 away from Shabazz for 3rd place. He potentially could tie or pass Shabazz on Tuesday vs Xavier.

DWS (7.4, t-9th) - Karaban has now teid Shabazz and Sticks for 9th place. He potentially could pass them for sole 9th place on Tuesday vs Xavier.

.-.
Karaban only needs 281 steals to tie Scotty Burrell.

Just a reminder how good a defender Scotty was. Crazy.
That, Emekas block record and Smiths scoring record will likely never be broken. No one will stay in school long enough if they’re good enough to challenge Smiths points and the game has shifted outside enough that no one is averaging 4.3 BPG again

A couple things I missed.

Games (134, 9th) - Karaban tied Ricky Moore and Tiliek Brown for 9th place in games yesterday. Next game he will move into 6th with Denham Brown, Tyler Olander, and Tyler Polley.

Wins (???) - This one is super confusing. There is a ton of stuff out there about how Samson Johnson is the winningest player in UConn history, and by means of being part of winning teams, he is, but by actual games played, he's nowhere near the top. If you count all wins a team has gotten, it gets a little murky. Rashamel Jones, Antric Klaiber, and Ricky Moore were all part of teams that won 116 games. However, 2 of those wins were vacated, so they sit at 114. This puts them at #2 to Samson Johnson's 115. Now Karaban's teams sit at 114 as well, so he is tied for 2nd if you don't count vacated wins, and 5th if you do. But what if you are asking most wins that a player actually played in. Well Karaban now sits at 111, and as far as I can tell, might put him in 1st. Jones played in 132/141 games, Klaiber in 115/141, and Moore in 134/141. Without going through each game (and I am not sure the roster data even exists, but it might be out there), Klaiber won a max of 101 games, Jones a max of 112, and Moore a max of all 114 wins.

I went deeper. Moore was suspended for 1 win in 1997, bringing his max to 113.

And deeper. Moore was injured for the Eastern Michigan win in the round of 32 in 1995-96 and DNP. That brings him down to 112.

I will do more research. At worst, Karaban is currently 1 game from 1st place in Wins played, and probably is already the all time leader.

Mintues (4307, 4th) - Karaban is 15 minutes away from Boatright (4322) in 3rd and 25 from Freeman (4332) in 2nd. He should get there on Friday.

FG (592, UR) - Karaban is 10 FG away from getting on the board over Adrien (602). It probably won't happen on Friday, but you never know.

3PFG (257, 4th) - Karaban is still only 3 away from Shabazz for 3rd place, having hit none against Xavier. He potentially could tie or pass Shabazz on Friday.

DWS (7.5, 9th) - Karaban has now passed Shabazz and Sticks for 9th place. He is 0.3 away from Jerome Dyson for 8th.

Okay I can say with 100% confidence that Ricky Moore has 112 wins played. I have accounted for all 7 missed games in his career. If you don't include vacated wins, he drops to 111 wins played.

Rashamel Jones missed 2 games in 1996-97 due to an injured knee. UConn lost both games. Those are the only missed games I was able to identify. I want to clarify, Jones is at 114 Wins if you count the vacated wins, and 112 if you don't.
