Staying elsewhere, but may drop in at Oread. Likely, will go wherever KU friends bring us. The Wheel's been mentioned.

Um no I missed the Oread. I'll be at the Quality Inn but likely hitting the pregame at the Oread

So that’s on Iowa and 23rd, western edge of Campus over where the Walmart and other chain stores area. You guys should look at my parking thread a few posts up.

My group plans on using uber/lyft to get around once we get to Lawrence. The beverages will be flowing.

Hopefully getting an Uber postgame won’t be too tough as it’s a 30 min walk back to the quality inn from Allen Fieldhouse according to google maps.

Walk to the Quality Inn? I would not do that either direction. You may need to walk someplace away from AFH to get an Uber, I have no idea what it is like now, and there was no Uber in the 90s, but I think most roads become "out only" for a period of time.

Quality beer? For good beer go to Lawrence Beer Company. Free State is a great spot, good food, and I had many, many pints there back in the day, but the beer is old school 90s.

I am aware that UConn AD is having a thing at the bar at the Oread Hotel (Bird Dog Bar). I know some of you booked that hotel. I'm planning to be in Lawrence most of Friday and to pre-game at The Wheel. The Wheel is like KU's version of Ted's in many ways. Happy to buy beers for some of you Boneyard degenerates if I see you there. It may be mobbed. I'm going to try to talk my friends into Lawrence Beer Co earlier in the day. I'd encourage people to check out Massachusetts Street if you are there well before the game (or after).

Curious to see how many yarders are making the trip.

No idea honestly. I don’t think there is an in and back out ability, but the students are doing it so maybe you can.

I am still above ground and expect to view the game from the jersey shore.
 
There were definitely like 6 or 8 UConn folks on my rental car shuttle at MCI last night. I'm pretty surprised how much tickets have dropped for the game. I thought the deal I got a few weeks ago was solid but I could be in a lot better spot at today's prices...
