Doesn't really need much. Larry Bird didn't have any and Taurasi only has about 4 inches. The quick release is all she needs.

She isn't going to be elevating over people to shoot. Instead her shot opportunities will come through the flow of the offense. That's nothing new. It's Connecticut's offense.

That said don't mistake the amount of elevation on her jumpshot with her ability to jump. Those are two different things. She actually looks pretty fit. I wouldn't be surprised if she has good leaping ability. (For what it's worth, when my daughter played she would get up maybe four or 5 inches on her jumpshot, but her standing vertical was 27.5 inches.)

Yeah, the UConn coaches have a way of figuring those things out. Remember when they had Bria, Breanna, and Brianna? They became Bria, Stewie, and Polly.

I have a vague recollection of some reporter asking how Breanna became Stewie. Geno said something like, “I got sick of having three kids running up to me every time I shouted a name starting with Bri.”
