Thanks for posting the link. I just watched the Canada game. I'll forget stats, as you suggest. Here's what I noticed:While understanding that the competition is poor, other than Canada, I’ll suggest some things to watch. Forget stats, notice how she doesn’t play down to the opponent’s level, plays hard defensively, takes good shots with no selfish logo 3s, looks for cutters, and interacts well with her teammates. Plus she goes to the boards to rebound, 14 against Canada. Excellent composure for 14 years old.
Robinson has a mature game, quite throughly coached. In terms of maturity, the closest talent to hers on the floor was Savannah Swords. The other kids had talent too, but not quite on the same level as those two. Robinson likes driving the lane and the baseline, finishes well, and has developed an effective turnaround-stepback jump shot that is clearly the product of some careful coaching. She also is a mature ball handler. She doesn't get confused or panicky with the ball when the defense challenges her. She's not afraid of driving into a crowd. I think she probably could have played on the U18 team.
I'm not sure I see what @Carnac has in mind in his comment. Robinson is eminently coachable. She didn't develop those skills on her own. I think Geno would want her, if he can get her.
