I agree with you totally. She has much better form on her outside shot. Using a one hand pushing with top spin where as Liv had a two hand over the top of her head and kind of throw it as the basket form on outside shots and foul shots. She is much quicker then Liv on her movements down low going left and right.
Where she reminds me of Liv is in her defense which as we all know was Liv's strong point. Did anyone remember when we played SCarolina in a preseason tourney and lost in the second half. Well in the first half Liv was blocking all the drives to the hoop rebounding and getting us out on the break and we were up big. Recently as a professional Liv was playing against Boston and blocked two of her shots.
She would be a great addition to our team and I would love to have her.
I hear you. Her offense maybe a little better than Liv’s was in high school. I was thinking of the moment when she drives left and puts the ball up at the rim with her right hand. If you’re taller than everyone else (like she clearly is in high school, and as Liv was too) you can get away with that. But in D1, where there’s lots of bigs, that’s gonna get blocked.
And now I have to tease you a little bit: top spin? That would be interesting to see. Perhaps you meant back spin? It’s not like she’ll be allowed to bring a tennis racket on the court… though that might be a cool development in the sport.
But I think you’re right about Liv’s shooting form. The ball seemed like an alien object in hands. This girl looks a bit more comfortable with the ball in her hands.
