Nope. Parker is not the best player in the WNBA. She's good, but this is silly.

That is outrageous. She's nowhere near the best player. Not even on her own team. Some games she totally disappears. ESPN has been pushing that narrative for 2 years since she got back in Chicago. What a joke.

Don't have League Pass so not able to watch. So...almost at halftime, and the second leading scorer in the league has 2 FGA. Seriously? Is Plum getting frozen out of the offense tonight or what? Looked like a bit of a slow start but now Aces running away from the Fever like they should.

It would be an understatement to say Parker is lobbying the refs hard tonight. She's been talking to them, begging for a foul, non stop for more than 5 minutes of game clock. The 3 blind mice did somehow miss McCowan absolutely bulldozing CP, while somehow they did see a phantom foul while Arike was fading away from a defender and there was absolutely zero contact.

They've been a bit up and down this game, but the Sky are a machine. Meesseman is playing great, Quigley and Copper are scoring, Stevens is playing really well off the bench. Parker playing fairly well. Allemand doesn't wow you, but she's been more than keeping things rolling while Sloot is out.

A lot left to play out, but if you consider how well the Sky played in the playoffs last year and then: replaced Dolson w/ Meesseman (big improvement) and added a very much competent backup PG (Evans was terrible last year and their leads disappeared every single time she entered a game). Can't really call losing DeShields a significant loss, she never really found her groove last year and struggled throughout the post season.

Man, these refs have vivid imaginations. They keep giving Arike the whistle when there is absolutely clearly NO CONTACT with any defender.

Dallas w/ a nice rally to start Q3. Mostly Arike. McCowan has been causing some trouble as well.

Wings got as close as 2, but Sky back up 7 at end of Q3.

Meanwhile the Sun are up 20 on the Lynx.

Saw a rumor that the Storm's regular season home finale is already being announced as a sellout. Bird's last regular season home game, makes sense. That should be the biggest crowd at a WNBA game in quite a while.

Wings with a chance to take a lead. And they do.

Can anyone explain to me why Dana Evans gets playing time? I just don't see it. If she's not hitting 3's, which she usually doesn't seem to be, I don't see anything she does at a WNBA level.

Just when I thought the Aces were back on track, they're getting handled at home by the Dream. Hayes and Howard going off. I really think Las Vegas' defense is gonna be their undoing, I don't think they've got what it takes to win a Championship.
Exactly. I thought the same thing about the Aces. Looked like they were putting the pieces together and getting into playoff mode. Then that Atlanta game happened. Not sure what to expect from the Aces once the playoffs start. They were my pick to win it all this season. Now. I am not sure anymore.

I kind of like Nikolina Milic's game. She has some decent footwork out there. Love her toughness.

Sky hold on 89-83. Arike w/ a game high 28 but not enough. Allemand found some offense late in the game and finished w/ 13.

Parker w/ a double double 14/10. I don't love her shooting 3's. 1-5 tonight. That's not what they need from her. Meesseman missed a double double by 1 assist, 13/9. She was brilliant in the first half but really slowed down after the break. Copper led them w/ 19. All 5 starters in double figures. Stevens had 9 in the first half but scoreless in the second half.

Dallas managed to slow down the Sky after the break. Forced a bunch of TOs and got a bunch of buckets in transition. But the Sky have a knack for pulling games out, even when it looks like they won't.

Hats off to Alyssa Thomas on getting that triple double.
I have no idea what the record is, but might there be a record number of triple doubles in the works this season? Parker and Ionescu have 2 each.

I have no idea on the record either, but you know with some of the legends that have played (Lisa Leslie, Lauren Jackson, Cynthia Cooper, Diana,...) we would have heard something. I agree this has to be a record number of triple doubles. I guess somebody could do a Google search and find out. :)
