July recruiting period underway (AAU)

Destanni Henderson with another monster game: 23 points, 5 assists, 5 steals, 4 rebounds in a Essence Purple win over Cal Swish.

Essence is 3-1 in group play. Henderson looks like the real deal, she has put her team on her back and really taking over these nationals. @SCGamecock

Big game for Charli Collier today in Chicago: 22 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 1 block

UConn target Rickea Jackson: 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists

Geno and Holly together again, or for the first time. ;)

And that's Megan Duffy, ND alum and newly appointed HC at Miami University of Ohio, to Holly's far left in the red sweatshirt. Megan still looks so young she can probably lace 'em up and get on court.

UConn was apparently scouting 2018 post Queen Egbo, a talented athlete.

Makes me wonder about Nelson-Ododa.

Louisville continuing efforts with Queen Egbo

Just commented on this over at McGraw's Bench. ND is interested in ON-O and the Queen as well. Have no idea where the Irish stand with ON-O. Apparently the Queen will whittle down her myriad of offers by end of July, then take campus visits in fall semester and make her decision. She's from the Houston area, much like Brianna Turner....so Irish fans are hoping there's a connection between the Queen and Breezy Bri.

Queen Egbo attended summer camps at Baylor and Utah in 2016. Last month, she camped at Texas and Texas A&M.

The Cal Stars were something like 23-0 this calendar year before the Philly Belles defeated them today.

UConn targets Maddie Burke (#25), Kylee Watson (#33), and Celeste Taylor (top row, far right).

Thanks much for passing photo along. #32 (to the the left of Watson) is Danielle Costgrove, Class of '18, and fellow Long Islander to Taylor. She'll be headed out to South Bend. Belles have a lot of talent.....

Reading the last half dozen posts just got me wondering:
Does Geno ever get phone calls from some of his friends in the HS/AAU ranks saying 'Hey, I know you aren't interested in recruiting _____, but she could use a little buzz and if you have a chance during this or that tournament to catch one of her games, I would really appreciate it! If not you, one of your assistants?'
Geno and other top end coaches do create a little added buzz for an athlete - of course it might scare away mid-ranked programs that figure they wouldn't have a chance, but ...

Diamond Bragg is in that pic and I believe Faith Masonius is top left.

Vandy probably on the phone to the NCAA already because that young lady is holding a Louisville offer which obviously makes her a prospect.
I almost posted the same thing....Great minds.... ;)

The Nike EYBL Championships in Chicago ended today.

Charli Collier's last performance: 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists

Christyn Williams is listed as having played with Collier and Cy Fair, scoring 2 points and adding an assist. Seems rather unlikely.

Haley Jones had another all-around game: 9 points, 4 rebs, 4 assists, 2 steals

Thanks for posting. Given your knowledge of Tiny Green/this group, who are the major players on this team?
Thanks.

The two big names on that team are Justine Pissot and Sophia (I think) Sabino one of the many Sabinos..............I've heard Pissot already has offers and she's just going into 9th grade

BTW some disappointing news as I won't be able to scout those Shore Conference girls in person as my daughter has another knee issue so it's unlikely we will be able to make the trip to the upcoming NBS Camp..............she got twisted up in a jump ball situation in a scrimmage against Paramus Catholic and will have an MRI tomorrow although they are hopeful that it's not anything structural............fingers crossed

Thinking good thoughts for her Charliebball

I shockingly forgot Destiny Adams a future top recruit.............think Diamond Miller but a bit taller..............can never remember if she is '20 or '21

Charlie: Sorry to hear about this. Indeed, crossing fingers that the MRI reveals the least/best possible news. Keep us posted.
