It’s a little thing that’s so very important when driving to the basket. One thing I have noticed over the years, watching UConn warm up, is that when the layup line moves to the left side of the basket, just about every player uses their left hand. That continually practiced skill translates directly to game situations.Like that she can finish well with her left hand. Seen multiple videos of this.

It is surprising to see guards at the D1 level not be able to finish with either hand. It’s such a limiting factor. And it’s a footwork skill as much as a hand skill. I get that bigs don’t often develop this skill. They bring other talents to the court. It’s a little thing that’s so very important when driving to the basket. Very quick. However, it can be deceiving because her leg strength allows her to be very much under control. But she can go as fast as she needs to. And you rarely see her off balance. Can anyone speak to how quick Jovana is? Inquiring minds want to know.
My eyeball test suggests she's Nika-quick.Can anyone speak to how quick Jovana is? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yup. The question really concerns the '27-28 season, when the guard corps will be Kayleigh Allie Kelis Jovana with support from Morgan Blanca and Sarah. The two PG strategy will continue to be available to Geno, though I expect Geno to be on the lookout for more PGs in the next two recruiting cycles, as Sarah Kayleigh and Allie will graduate in '28.She seems the perfect player for Geno. PG skills along with high-quality 3-pt shooting. It is hard to play KK and K9 together as neither are strong outside shooters. You can however play Jovana with one of them and Geno loves to play two point guards when he can get away with it offensively (like with Paige).

The National Letter of Intent, which is no more, was a contract. Even though the formal NLI is gone, another contract has replaced that document. See the belowQuestion, in this day and age, what is the difference between a signee and a commit? Isn't the letter of intent just a piece of paper?
Why do I think EVERYONE is going to love playing with that girl? Why do I think Allie is going to love playing with this girl?

Yes. One in each class.UConn is going to have four fearless point guards next season......can't wait to see them all in action.....
Not so sure I agree with this comment. Sarah, Ash, KK are locks, strong lean on Blanca. the question becomes, Jana, Olivia V, Allie, K9.Jovanna will compete for a starting spot next season. While the video doesn’t show it, she’s also a pretty good defender in addition to all the offense she has in her bag.
Agree on the importance of defense and that’s where you need to watch full game footage of Jovanna. She harasses ball handlers, jumps passing lanes and bodies up opponents. While she certainly has some learning to do once she gets to Storrs, I think her learning curve will be short and her impact will be big.Not so sure I agree with this comment. Add in Morgan and you have a pretty strong defensive team that we know Geno loves. For all this offense we see from her, her quality minutes will be determined by her defense.
I don't see it. KK, Ash, Blanca, Sarah, and a center. Jovana IMHO will be competing for guards coming off the bench replacing the starters.Agree on the importance of defense and that’s where you need to watch full game footage of Jovanna. Morgan has been out all year. Assuming she can get herself back healthy, she’s got a lot of rust to shake off. Jovanna will be competing with Kayleigh, Allie and maybe Kelis for Azzi’s spot in the starting lineup. Whoever emerges as the starter will most certainly have earned it.
I don’t see 3 forwards starting for UConn, even though Sarah & Blanca have exceptional skills as forwards. Replacing Azzi with another forward just doesn’t feel like Geno. I think he’ll take a hard look at Allie, Kayleigh and maybe Morgan, if she’s healthy. Jovana could be in that mix.I don't see it. KK, Ash, Blanca, Sarah, and a center. Don't get me wrong - I think Jovana is a legit top 5 recruit, but we are stacked at the guard spot...
