Good, we need someone who can play. Another project/slow-developing/low-rated big isn't going to cut it.
Highlights of a recent game (three in a row of Carlton starting at 0:14, including a nice move at 0:20) and then short interview. Still not a lot of tape/reviews on him, but lots of praise coming from scouts is encouraging.
Doesn't take much for me to get excited about our recruits. But seems like Carlton is really improving so far, which is greatImpressive win for DeMatha, that's a pretty good Wheeler team. Jordan Tucker, Darius Perry (UL commit), Jordan Usher (USC commit), and E.J. Montgomery ('18 Auburn commit) commit are serious players.

His athleticism is similar to lubinsAgreed, the whole Lubin comparison was/is ludicrous. Dude appears to be a serious collegiate big man, and best of all, nothing has been put out there to suggest that he was a late arrival to the sport à la Facey, Brimah, and Enoch.

Every time I watch clips of him and read about his development he reminds me more and more of Ochefu, the big who started for Villanova last year. Good size, good hands, good brain, developed a ton from his junior to senior years in HS, and then went on to become a great 4-year player.Playing time is available Josh keep working buddy!
But yeah, a positive article for a change and love the kids attitude. 9/8 to 20/12 at a school like DeMatha is nothing to sneeze about so despite the fact JSM gives him no shot, I like the chances we could get a really nice piece.

I pray that's what this kid is.
But, but....his ranking his so low, how can he be any good? (Sarcasm off)Playing time is available Josh keep working buddy!

From the Charlotte area news.
↑Josh Carlton, DeMatha (MD) Catholic: UConn recruit was 11-for-12 from the field against Providence Day, often powering home dunks and layups with multiple defenders hounding him. He finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

We have one on the roster. He has runners knee. Now that is encouraging. We haven't had a big who was an instinctive dunker around the rim since Adrien. I don't understand it, why our guys try little flip layups and avoid contact, while most of the teams we play power through our guys, get fouled and dunk.

It is really hard to say without being able to interview and examine him and see his radiographic studies. I had several Marines with a similar diagnosis. Most improved with physical therapy but a couple ended up getting medically boarded out of the military.Speaking of that can anyone explain what he has and how it will effect his career, although much is probably unknown still? I feel bad for the kid, love his enthusiasm on the bench even!
