Greetings from Gampel Pavillion. Here for UConn practice. The Huskies should be one of the nation's best back courts.

Yeah Gampel definitely needs some oomph/love. After we get the practice facility done, we should definitely make some efforts to sexy it up a bit.

I don't know what those efforts should entail, but we ought to do something.

@JonRothstein: So much Sam Cassell in Shabazz Napier....

@JonRothstein: Niels Giffey is the forgotten man on UConn. Experienced, tough + can shot. Will back up DeAndre Daniels at the 4. 6-7.

Let's start putting "Stars" on Jim Calhoun way for the huskies of honor. Be nice for recruits to walk across those names on their way into the building. Gets guys back on campus.

Because he made that moderately negative comment about UConn six years back, which means he's undoubtedly a UConn hater.

Rothstein doesn't make negative comments about anyone, which is part of the problem. He's on the complete other end of the spectrum compared to someone like Goodman. Every player is good, every team is good, every coach is good, he doesn't really look at CBB with a critical eye towards anything or anyone.

@JonRothstein: Early prediction on UConn starting five --- Ryan Boatright, Shabazz Napier, Omar Calhoun, DeAndre Daniels, Tyler Olander....

The last time "major" work was done was probably 4-5 yrs ago when they put in the new video/scoreboards on each end. Those were changes that we needed. Thinking about it now, what could possibly be done to renovate the inside besides the attention that the roof needs?

@JonRothstein: Could see Terrence Samuel being used in a defensive specialist type role for UConn in reserve. Really guards. Poor man's Royal Ivey.

@JonRothstein: UConn will go with a three-headed monster at the 5. Tyler Olander, Phil Nolan, and Amida Brimah. Trio needs to combine for 10 and 10.

If Samuel is as good a defender as advertised, it certainly will make smaller Napier and Boatright much better

There are now several different people highlighting T-Sam's defensive ability. That's great to hear because its an indicator of his tick tock IMO.
