Tyler actually started the downward spiral in 2011-12 by playing too well in the easy games. He bumped AO out of the lineup, which was followed by AO sulking, which was followed by older Olander dunking on younger Olander and driving younger Olander to drink, which was followed by neither of them playing well, which was followed by Drummond trying to be the man down low before he was ready, which was followed by Roscoe being squeezed out of the lineup and losing confidence, which was followed by a constant three-guard lineup with Drummond at the five and revolving doors of unhappy 4s.

Nice. How does the flap of a butterfly's wings in Brazil translate to WINNING?!

Think ollie will have a quicker hook this season. Not so much with bazz or daniels, but everybody else. More depth means he's got options to find a good 5 man combination

Greetings from Gampel Pavillion. Here for UConn practice. The Huskies should be one of the nation's best back courts.

I also love this idea except I would trade stars for paws.
Love this idea. I'd put them right up Hillside Rd down past the old Fieldhouse/ new rec center.

LOVE Marcus Smart but after watching Shabazz Napier yesterday I have no doubts that the UConn senior the best guard in college basketball.

Shabazz Napier has improved statistically every year and is often overlooked for what he does defensively. TREMENDOUS guarding the ball.

Again, am a HUGE Marcus Smart fan, but firmly believe Napier is the best guard in the country. Has a "Sam Cassell" type feel to his game.

I can't believe someone had the notion rothstein slighted uconn at any point in his career as a journalist

Who said that? I think everyone in this thread is on the same page that Rothstein pumps up everyone he sees.

Someone was just making a joke about the Boneyard's propensity to feel slighted by the media - and then not ever forget about the slight (after Fishy asked why we should take his tweets with a grain of salt).

Yeah, but I don't think that person was speaking specifically about Rothstein as much as he/she was making fun of the oversensitivity of the board.

I'm not sure if 'oversensitivity' is a word, but I'm going with it anyway.

If it's not, it should be.

In fairness to the BY, every message board if oversensitive to criticism.

The last time "major" work was done was probably 4-5 yrs ago when they put in the new video/scoreboards on each end. Those were changes that we needed. Thinking about it now, what could possibly be done to renovate the inside besides the attention that the roof needs?

Fix that freaking hole in the roof. I am embarrassed every time I see it.

It is true that Rothstein really doesnt have a bad thing to say about anybody but Its his job to travel all over the country all year long to visit schools, attend games, and watch practice so he probably doesnt want to burn any bridges. I will say it seems like he is genuinely pro UConn and Calhoun judging by the way he talks about the program in general. Whenever Rothstein guest hosts the Tim Brando radio show he always has Calhoun on and it also seems that Calhoun likes talking to him. Its just funny how we bash reporters/broadcasters who hate UConn and now some are bashing Rothstein for showing a lot of love toward UConn. The Boneyard is a tough crowd but thats why I love it.

Yeah, while not a knock on Louisville at all, that's an implicitly critical comment from Rothstein (and I mean critical in the "neutral" sense).

How could he not. You've basically told us he's a combination of Michael Jordan, Lebron James, and Iron Man. I expect 40/20/10/10 every game.

Either that or a dude who comes off the bench and is decent.

Almost 24 years. Seems like yesterday.
I remember the shirts being sold on campus that said something to the line of Doing it doggie style at the ConnDome for the first game there. I bought one but somewhere through the years lost it. Wish I still had it.

Did I miss something? Your predictions are still crazy. Why do you think they sound less crazy? Because Ollie complimented the kid while he was complimenting every other member of the team?
