Randy Edsall is still holding out for more money, so who knows how long we will have to wait before he signs on as DC.Do we hear about the DC today?

That and some other possibilitie materialized for their Plan B. Why else would the deadlines keep getting extended?I think the original target had a change of heart.

Well, that would not cause the deadlines to keep pushing out unless a failure to reach agreement on compensation happened with the last acceptable candidate.Compensation snag
The closing date for the job postings has been changed to December 13..
At one point after The Edsel was sent to the junk yard I was hopeful for Spanos. Not anymore. We can't find a suitable DC and this is how Spanos will back into the position!!!
On a positive note, 4 days of decreased DC-hiring clicks. The closing date for the job postings has been changed to December 13..
FWIW, DL still hasn't been announced. Is it just me, or is this situation slightly unusual? (Yes, I know, I am leaving myself open in posing this question.) On D, UConn has hired the DL coach, the LB coach, and the secondary coach withour hiring the guy they will report to. That seems awfully odd. I understand grabbing desirable candidates quickly before they go somewhere else, but not having input to the position coach hires would seem to lessen the attractiveness of the situation to a candidate DC. Is this a common situation in CFB?
If you think so. Im not putting him down for the way he was transitioned. I do know I went to games he coached against D1A teams as we were talking about transition and our D got pushed all over the field. He surprised me by being adequate in the BE but he certainly benefited greatly by Danny O staying home. I’m sure he felt under appreciated and that’s why he exited to MD the way he did. He was never as good as he imagined himself and sadly flopped like a rag doll in his reincarnation. I just want a respectable, entertaining product for my seasons ticket money. .Pretty sure RE didn't default into Uconn in the Football Big East. He was hired specifically to get us into Big East Football. Hiring Edsall provided the gravitas needed for acceptance. Edsall was perfect for team moving to Div1
Honestly Mora doesn’t have to worry about dc as muchI wonder why they waste their time telling us a closing date when it just keeps getting moved at will. Just say you will have a DC by April and cut the BS.
Ugh, yet Moore's a UMess alumnus.Loomis Chaffe coach Jeff Moore is heading to UMass
Yeah ngl Brown has an excellent staff brewing right now. They will recruit mass excellently. Mora needs to make sure brown steps foot as little as possible in this state.Ugh, yet Moore's a UMess alumnus.
Aside from apparent HR job posting and hiring requirements for the state, UConn, and/or labor union?I wonder why they waste their time telling us a closing date when it just keeps getting moved at will. Just say you will have a DC by April and cut the BS.
Yeah, I know, and we have all been wondering why. So that may be related to what is happening.FWIW, DL still hasn't been announced.
I would assume he has not been announced due to the fact that Michigan is in the playoffs and the special teams coordinator that he followed is part of a bowl game on ChristmasYeah, I know, and we have all been wondering why. So that may be related to what is happening.
Yes, this tempers the hope I had of Loomis being a nice pipeline to us. This blows to say the least.Ugh, yet Moore's a UMess alumnus.
Not necessarily. If UConn can’t recruit Loomis bc of that then there are bigger issues.Yes, this tempers the hope I had of Loomis being a nice pipeline to us. This blows to say the least.
