This is, of course, ridiculous. JS would start for 8 of the 11 Big East teams right now.
You are both saying a very similar thing. Ruffruff said JS would start for a mid major, then you said he could start for 8 of 11 BE teams. There is considerable overlap there.

Of course reminds me of … There is considerable overlap between the intelligence of the smartest bears and the dumbest tourists.

Which of the Big East teams would you consider a mid-major? Name names.

No, we are not saying a similar thing, because Butler/Xavier/Creighton/Marquette/Georgetown/Providence/Seton Hall/Nova are not mid-majors. Just a patently ridiculous assertion to make.

I never said BE teams were mid-majors, but in any given year there is a lot of overlap. Using ESPN’s power rankings, here’s the back end of the Big East this year:

BE: 54, 59, 65, 66, 70, 72, 95, 100

Here’s the top of the top four mid-major conferences:
A10: 33, 46, 62, 80
American: 50, 64, 82
Mountain West 29, 53, 56, 69, 74, 75, 87
WCC 9, 41, 39

I’d call that considerable overlap.

Going back a few years, a bit more overlap AND a few teams performing like mid-majors (power rankings going back a few years):

GTown. 70, 86, 194, 216, 177, 71
DePaul. Maybe worse.
SH. 54, 151, 53, 70
Butler. 66, 66, 75, 123, 145, 121

Though I was just joking around, I stand by my statement that there is considerable overlap.

So the teams that could be considered mid major in the Big East is Georgetown, DePaul, Seton Hall, and Butler. I probably would throw in Xavier as well. That appears to be a reasonable assessment.

Yup - but his dad made mention of being out west closer to home. If northwest outside of Zags and UW, then it’s Oregon or former high majors like Wazzu and Oregon St.

Not sure it's as much about NIL as it is PT - he'll find more PT somewhere else. Kid needs 30 minutes, not 8. We have no room for him at the 3. Landrew is a much better player.
Jalin is only good for 15 to 17 minutes per game. I don’t know why

I could maybe see doing something when he commits somewhere else, but right now he’s still technically a free agent.

They always do something when they leave early for the draft. For some reason, I remember a post or something for Roumoglou coming off the back-to-back but definitely not commonplace.

I'm curious, have they ever done that for anyone that transferred out? Do they do it for players who left early to enter the NBA draft?

I’m not really sure what he’s expecting here…the kid transferred.

You get a gold watch for retiring from the bank, not taking a job at another bank.

Agree, but it's not like he wanted to transfer. I can't really knock a kid who wants to play, but had bad luck and got recruited over.

UConn made a thank you post on social media after Apostolos committed to Richmond, he probably should have gave it some time before complaining.

I think he deleted it.

He strikes me as a very decent sort and he was very friendly with a lot of the traveling twitter crowd. Seems like they have been spending their days in airplanes visiting schools over the past few days…probably just worn out.

He's a really nice guy. Tarris and Braylon's dads are also super friendly.

Dang I missed it, what did it say?

Haha, retiring from the bank? You either get laid off in banking resulting from a merger or your job is offshored to wherever the labor is cheaper. Maybe retiring from a credit union or mutual bank.

Nothing bad - just that he was surprised that UConn didn't have some kind of goodbye message or video on social media.

I'm looking at a 14 page thread that tilts pretty clearly toward appreciation and well-wishing, along with empathy and realistic acceptance. I don't get the sense that the school feels differently. Maybe after he lands, something may be said. I expect it here. Worst I can say now is that it's awkward because unsettled.

With the exception of Creighton and possibly Marquette which of the above teams has done anything recently?
