Does the refs get graded in the last game
Maybe someone here could go over the tape and check for mistakes both ways

There are multiple reasons why we should try to move to a P4 conference. This is one. Our playing style isn’t suited not a match for the way Big East games are officiated. We need to get more revenue. But we have a major Breeding problem. Clearly there is vindictiveness there and an axe to grind. The bigger question is why was this crew chosen and allowed to officiate this game? I remember when games typically were called by neutral conference officials. Something seems to be at play here.
It seems like it was intentional to inhibit UConn.

I thought the spread was 6.5 so UConn won.
Futures bets, not the spread. Too much money came in on UConn during the season with the odds fairly long

Stop trying to make a diamond with your butthole. The point on Vegas is an objective fact.
You implied that a referee committed a bunch of federal felonies. Forgive me if I don’t think accusing someone of crimes without evidence because you hate them is tolerable speech. Just old fashioned I guess.

Oh god

The game appeared to be officiated on "vibes" rather than what was actually happening. Plenty of bad and missed calls for both teams. In a nutshell, the main criticism that absolutely affected the outcome was this:

Cadeau was allowed to play his game, hands-on with playground gery that would get him punched in the face on said playground and Demery wasn't allowed to play his game.

Allowing that early three point foul at half court to pass the laugh test was pathetic. Demery's last foul was also laughable given how Cadeau was allowed to rake at people for 94 feet.

That was the difference.

None of this considers the blatant missed charge against Ball the helped send him to the bench, the microscope examination of the hook and hold against AK or the 3on 1 maulings under our basket that went uncalled.

Doesn't consider the general foul trouble or FT disparity, that was sort of expected. It was the calls/non-calls that had an outsized effect on the first half and comeback attempt in the 2nd half.

It was a poorly officiated game regardless of which side you were on. The last game deserves better.

Cadeau should have picked up his second foul at the 12 minute mark when he hacked Tarris and Breeding called OOB off Tarris and no foul. He didn't go out with his second foul however until the 5 minute mark. He had three more in the second half which would have fouled him out. Much different game

Acting like Cadeau was shooting in the first minute of the game on a rip through from 40 feet is egregious. Calling the foul is whatever but giving him 3 FTs was a joke.
Cadeau "cheated" in so many possessions on both sides of the ball that I could never root for the kid, but he was trying his best to win so good on him. What i could never accept is the enablement by the Referees. There is no way every jersey grab by him on our cuts went unnoticed, nor the defensive slaps at the ball which seemingly always made wrist contact eith the ballhandler.

Of all the BS, the rake across the arm on Tarris tells me the refs decided they didn't care. Reed loses the ball, Cadeau's hand doesn't come near the ball, right across the arm, clear view and they don't call it.

Part of Danny's being so content with the loss is because he knew he was never going to beat both Breeding and UM, but they played hard enough to almost pull it off.

Sounds like Staley was working the refs pretty hard and it worked for her. Maybe it comes back to bite her in the rear, but for one day it worked.
Back to the power conference theory. They want the power conferences to win. This year the men have fouled quite a bit, but the women did not, until the final four. Women 22-6 foul shot disparity and men 28-16. Tough to overcome.

I think this is accurate. They've kind of maxed out on UConn's marketing value (and maybe South Carolina as well in women's hoops). Having Michigan and UCLA bring home titles is a real coup for growing fan interest. Those are huge brands with a lot of high-profile basketball history, along with football crossover and big, national fan bases. This is an entertainment product, after all. I think they're popping champagne over these outcomes.

Ding ding.

Nothing smelled right about how that game last night was officiated. I rarely call out refs. When the egregiously bad calls are 8-9 to zero, it smells like poo. When the other team can push guys to the ground in the back multiple times with no whistle, it smells like poo. When the defensive player gets called on an illegal screen, it smells like poo.

I would doubt a ref would be so stupid in a spotlight game, but I wouldn’t put it past Breeding to be a vindictive . What’s fascinating is how blatant the bias can be but we are programmed to dismiss it. This leads to the real vulnerability with big money at stake for ref influenced outcomes. pS - Breeding needs to go

I'm getting fired up just reading this again. I'm remining myself how Seton Hall fans have probably felt for the last 37 years to feel better.
