He left good looks out there too. There were a number of possessions where he caught the ball at or near the key and the defender was 3 feet off with his hands down. He should have taken those shots, I was screaming at the TV “take the shot!” He is still deferring too much. He needs to understand he is option A for us. We are a better team when he’s taking the majority of our shots.

He had a fantastic game! That stretch he had made me think wow wait till next year after a full year and off season. For those of you thinking he’s a one and done.. no. He needs to learn how to play defense without fouling and shore up his handle. Wouldn’t be surprised if he left after next year but there’s nooooooo way he’s a one and done.
Amazing game from him and can’t wait to see what the future holds for this team with him playing for the good guys.

He's currently averaging about 11 ppg on 48% shooting. Would be very hard for him to get that up to 15 ppg and over 50% at this point. Which means he's coming back.

Guess you could say he was looking to drive more early in the season. That almost made him a criminal.

True. But he will sometimes. His stoke is very pure. There's no reason he should be well above 31%. Maybe over 40. With his ability an open three pointer should be close to a lay up.

Based on his change in aggressiveness in the second half you could definitely tell Hurley was looking for more assertiveness from him in the second half. It worked!

An incredible half vs Tulsa does not get you drafted. If you ask 100 scouts, all of them would say he is on their radar and has a pro skill set. If you ask 100 scouts, all of them would say he has to go back to school for another year.

Just an awful call. And you’re correct, changed the momentum and Tulsa went on to cut the lead to 1. Great poise by UConn to regroup on the road and put it away.
Let’s not talk to much about one and done. I’m really looking forward to Bouk playing with Jackson. That could be a lot of fun.
