I am thoroughly confused. What exactly is the point of this post

There is absolute no point to that post, well it does a great job of highlighting how dumb posters on an fan board can be, so perhaps that was the point.

He was 17 as a freshman here.
No. His birthday is in September, so he was 17 for a few weeks before the season even started. Was he young for his class? Yes. Ridiculously young? No.

But to your first point, he clearly had limited basketball understanding that made it so he definitely should have been redshirted, especially considering we already had upperclassmen Brimah, Facey, and Miller at the 4/5.

This is on the East Coast. If he lived in the midwest he would be the youngest in his class. Or very close. Add how prep schools are operating and how parents hold kids back 17 at the start of ur freshman year is ridiculously young in this day an age of college basketball.
