He's jumping high but that's the camera angle. There's no way his entire head and arm/shoulder are above the rim.

And there's usually 24 of them. I see 2 untouched at the top--so he should be getting 22in above the rim. He's a better athlete than he showed last year clearly.

All depends on RJ. If RJ is as good as some believe he’s the starter and I hope he is. I mean without seeing Gaffs improvements we don’t need a 30% shooter again that can’t guard quick points. Here’s hoping he worked on all of that he’ll get plenty of time then. Certainly like what we see here.

I really like how Gaffney finished the season last year and I expect him to be better this year.
If Cole is demonstrably better than Gaffney and coaches see it, Huskies are in a very good position for the season at PG.

I do expect Gaffney to average about 22-25 mpg regardless if he starts or comes off the bench.

Even with those issues i like the kid. He was a freshmen and appeared to be one of those kids that needs time to adjust to the college level. I dont think its a coincidence that we started winning when he started getting minutes and starts. I think hes going to be a 4 year player whos going to leave here with a lot of wins.

Also seemed to have a stabilizing effect when he came into a game as the PG. Meaning he was doing what PG's are supposed to do at least on offense.

Gaffney is the “sleeper” on this team.

He managed the games at the end of the year last year when we started winning.

Agree with everyone here re: Gaffney. He took a while to acclimate to the college game last year, but I like that he didn't force things. He let the game come to him, and eventually, it did. Next step is creating more offense. This kind of physical improvement should really help him
