You're only allowed to play in 1 preseason tournament a yearWhy can't we do both?

You know, I don’t disagree. I used to be hell bent on this. I thought we needed it and I still think it will sell tickets which brings in $$ which so many here seem to take for granted. But at the end of the day it’s not that important to me any more. I don’t think we need it, we’ve moved on. Recruiting is rocking in NE and the conference and it’s recruiting is beyond my expectations. If it happens then great, if it doesn’t I’ve come to learn PC will do just fine without it.
I don't understand this reply.
But I did reread your OP, and can see what late night reading comprehension can do to a man.
Fans would love it, and we eliminate two or three cupcakes a year
I thought you meant we could eliminate (as in beat the pants off of) 2-3 cupcakes a year (ie PC, SJU, BC). lol
I would play an exhibition for charity every Oct with PC.
Would be fun.
This is about UConn playing PC not Syracuse playing PC. You understand that, right?
Like I said we don't need it anymore, and we don't need to play Syracuse who I could never give more than two craps about anyway, A coach will leave that school and things will change there too. Times have changed a lot like they eventually always do and subbadumbdumb you might want to check who would be hurting who's rpi over the last 4 years with that trend continuing which anybody but the most biased can see. I know you makeup crap in your head and post it on the cesspool but here can you at least make an attempt at getting it right? And anything past since the split is ancient history, glory days as they say, believe me I know what wishing for the past looks like. It looks like this board.

I'll probably troll a little harder. Subbadumbdumbs comments are appropriate 5-10 years ago but not today. Anybody with half a brain knows this. Don't want PC on the schedule fine, I have no problem with that, everybody has an opinion. Many PC fans don't care if we play UConn. But to say PC hurts your RPI is ridiculous.Gosh, what are you going to be like once PC has won 2 NCAA games?

Jim Calhoun? I forgot he was still there. I should consult with Dave Gavitt and see what he thinks about a game. So recent NCAA success is all that matter when scheduling? Eventually they will make a run as its all about matchups and then all of a sudden they are deemed worthy? BTW, PC has 4 wins in the last 25 years, still short of your conference mate Tulsa. So you are very fortunate to have them in your conference and on the schedule every year.Having PC on our schedule with the way PC is going would be a good thing for UConn. Help out RPI, create a game that fans care about.
I like basketball so I would like the game. But, just remember, Jim Calhoun has forgotten to flush things that have 1 fewer NCAA wins than PC in the last 25 years.
I have a question, would Jm Calhoun (probably yes), Dee Rowe or George Blaney be in the stands if that charity game was against (pick a team in your conference)?
I don't have anymore. It's all good. Good luck to Cuse and UConn this year. PC will just go on its way and hope to pick up a scrap recruit from time to time that Cuse and UConn never wanted and then hope to eventually make a run if the stars align.Yes. All three do massive amounts for charity. Next question?

Hmm, not sure if my reply should be "finally" or "You know, I don’t disagree. I used to be hell bent on this. Because he's copping at little attitude on the BY after one exhibition win. Internet board visitor etiquette 101: Talk smack before, be humble in either victory or defeat afterwards.I’m not really sure why people give FriarJ a hard time on this.
Jim Calhoun would take the crap you guys give the Friars fans about 2 seconds before he got perturbed and that was before he won even one championship. At least I waited 3 seconds, and you know this is true 82. A little trolling (to you) hurts your feelings? You can only have it happen from teams of championship teams? No, toughen the up. He would say that also. Read through this thread again and tell me again I'm out of line.Because he's copping at little attitude on the BY after one exhibition win. To paraphrase the great Jim Calhoun:

"Win a championship and then come back and see me."

In all fairness, I was being completely honest, I really thought we needed it at one time including up until this summer and I also truly believe we don't anymore, The recruiting from this summer changed my mind, and this has nothing to do with an exhibition game. In 82's defense though I can see why my response raises his hackles. But he will just have to deal with it.I don't see it. I think people are being very thin skinned because he's right. Their recruiting is good, their team is good, their conference is interesting. I think we are the ones trolling him without justification.
