Jackson breaks pinky finger in practice

Rough news. Explains him being missing from the practice video yesterday

Opener is November 7th. First real test is PKI on the 24th. Since it required surgery, I can't imagine it was mild. He might rush back by PKI, but anything before that seems optimistic.

For comparison, Elfrid Payton in NBA broke his pinkie requiring surgery and it took him almost exactly 6 weeks. PKI is almost exactly 6 weeks away.

First the ladies bb team, then the football team, now the men's bb team beset with injuries.

A cursory Google search says 6-8 weeks, so I agree with that assessment. Back for the conference schedule seems like a realistic goal

Our lack of wing depth is concerning now. Hopefully he’s back to 100% by conference play.

Why are people already speculating about return date? Did I miss that being reported?

Not gonna pretend it doesn't hurt but this is a time it's nice to have a 5th year senior like Calcaterra waiting in the wings for more minutes
Agreed, he should solid. Glad he has time to adjust to a bigger role in practice too.

If Oregon is his first game back, Point Jackson will be a fun wrinkle that's different than all our tape to that point.

Evidently, he broke a pinky in practice, and has already had surgery.

I saw the title and expected the worst. I’m literally saying “no, no, no, no…“ as I clicked on the thread.
