recently moved to Florida and i am not missing the snow right now.
Been out in Southern California for about 10 years and miss the snow for about 1 day a year. Other than that, I'm with you - not missing it the rest of the time at all...

Then you should only bed a few hours away from Bear Mountain. Plenty of snow there.

That means you have Fatburger and Carl's Jr at your disposal. I envy you.

In-n-Out is one of the greatest delights one can enjoy on Earth. There was a Fatburger in San Diego back in my SoCal days, not sure if it's still around.

5 Guys > Fatburger and it's not close.
In and Out and Tommy's are great.
You also have to throw in El Pollo Loco.

Carls Jr? Really? As good food? WTF?

The only one that seems to be around still is in Escondido. Don't make it up there very often (it's about 30 minutes up the 15 fwy from me). But In-n-Out - there is a line of at least 20 cars from the second they open at 11 till the minute they close. It's ridiculous, and it's the same at every single location.

5 guys burgers are popping up a lot out here. Seems like maybe they have replaced Fatburger?

You must try their Monster Bacon Thickburger. It is pure bliss. The best burger chain of all, at least IMO is Whataburger. I make at least one trip to the Texas/Oklahoma area every year just go to there (and of course Waffle House)

Just pounded an In-N-Out Double Double on the drive from Auburn, CA to Tahoe. Damn they are good.
