I posted somewhere in another thread, maybe the Azzi is back one, that I'm not updating the roster grid until after the NCAAT and all the portal dust settles. Learned my lesson a few years ago, LOL

The WNBA salary is for, what, 4 months of work and then players go to Europe for the big bucks.

And one of those bigs is Awak Kuier, the #2 overall pick in the 2021 WNBA draft.
 
Im really excited about next season. Azzi is healthy Blanca is an AA before she comes and having Sarah to play with that will be awesome. Caroline is back and shes looking much better. The summer will help and Im hoping she gets some playtime during the NCAAs. Now look at the rest of our roster. We are really really loaded with talent. Ive mentioned Blanca is already an AA and thats based on a couple of BB people who have seen her and said she could start for UConn right now.

Blanca is not an AA before she arrives, I’m sorry @Tonyc. But she may become one soon enough. And I disagree that she’s the greatest Husky since… some GOAT or other. I’d say Sarah is the greatest Husky since Paige. She’s already putting up Maya-level numbers as a freshman. She benefited from the opportunity to play with Paige, and we’ll soon see if she can do even better after Paige has moved on. I’m betting she can with Azzi next to her. And Blanca will get the enormous boom of playing with Sarah for 3 years.

The mix of talents for the next few years seems intoxicating and Blanca will get to experience all of it. I’d say she won the jackpot like no other recruit in recent memory.

If any of you speak Italian, you can watch today's press conference with Blanca. She comes in just before the 6:00 mark. Still waiting for them to post game highlights.

Last I looked UConn has 5 starters and they were not all All Americans. Also, it is my understanding that Geno does not determine starters based on "a couple of BB people".

The -ita ending in Spanish is usually either a diminutive ("Little Blanca") or a term of endearment. I suspect there is going to be nothing "little" about her in terms of her effect on UConn baseketball, and there will be plenty of "terms of endearment" posted on the BY.

Shall I translate? I think she said "I expect UConn to kick ass against Oklahoma on Saturday and eventually win the NC........I have already purchased a beautiful 2018 Barolo that I intend to hand deliver to Geno in June........13 is my lucky number so I want to make sure that Uconn wins another NC next season too.....".......:rolleyes::)
