I am SHOCKED to learn that Blanca visited Storrs last week for the first time, likely attending the game vs Butler at XL, and none of our BY super-sleuths picked up on it…….:(

It was posted here somewhere

More important than Sarah? I realize that Blanca appears to be more athletic, but Sarah is a better shooter and may read the game better. And then there are intangibles (including coachability, adaptability, grace under pressure) that cannot be discerned by watching highlight videos or even selective whole game footage.
Time will tell. But from the standpoint of athleticism, Blanca gets the nod.

As a freshman next season, if this kid turns out to be anything close to what SS has been for us this year … what a huge addition she will be! Sincerely hope so!!!

For what it's worth (this is almost certain to be ignored…) her
official and ordinary name is Blanca Quiñónez.
It is not Quiñonez.

In her Ecuatorian Spanish, the pronunciation is close to

Keen YONE ace.
Thank you, but I am still trying to remember to say Jacquie Fernandes and not Fernandez. Even my spell checker changes it to Fernandez. I intend to refer to the newest Husky as Blanca.

I’m glad others think she’s 6’2” too. That’s what the photos suggest to me. But in the Campobasso highlights videos she’s looks a bit smaller, closer to Sara Scalia’s size. I guess it’s really hard to judge height from videos. It’s a good thing she towers over Geno at least.

What is her age?
According to the first post in this thread Geno was quoted as saying: Mature.
I used to wonder about this sort of thing but I decided that I really wanted to advance to a second date with a woman.
All kidding aside, this could be important with regard to when she will be eligible to play in the WNBA. I read that her date of birth is August 3, 2006.

I was told a little over a year ago from someone who knows her well my cousin that she could've started for UConn right away and that was a year ago. He compared her to Napheesa Collier. Ive heard alot of great things about her athleticism and her ability to score. We've got another Grande Great One.

I doubt it......:(
As YOGI said: " It ain't over till it's over". No reason to believe that Agot Makeer will not also be a Huskie.
As they say in the NY Metropolitan areas: "you gotta believe!"
I was thinking why not one as a shooting guard and one as
a WING? My first choice would be that she accepts UCONN and
then MSU... close to home and family. I'm willing to wait!!!

I agree with Geno. What we get with her for a variety off reasons we don't have now. Reminds me a bit of Maya but I have seen 14 seconds of her game.

Her recent visit to South Carolina makes me think that they are in the driver's seat but I've been wrong before.....:)

She appears to be quite fearless and proficient at driving to the basket, but I haven't seen enough of her to know how good an outside shooter she is....
