to be fair, tho, Stanford has 2 NC's and has been a final 4 fixture the past 5 years. Having said that, I totally agree that if you REALLY want a NC, UCONN is a much better choice. Let's be honest - Stanford has some nice kids they've recruited, but aside from 2013, they've not recruited a class that is better than any competing class from UCONN.And actually win a national championship.
OUCH KILL SHOT!!!
I get they got Ogwumike (and Kokenis and James) in 2010, but I'd argue that Hartley and Dolson are at least equal to that. And on top of it, UCONN's sextet of KML, Banks, Stokes, followed by Tuck, Jefferson and Stewart blows Stanford's classes out of the water...
Depending on how Stanford recruits, it's highly unlikely they will be defeating UCONN for a NC at the earliest until McCall would be a senior. and even then it depends on how well Stanford recruits in 2014 and 2015...
Having said all that, if it were my daughter, I'd be hoping she chose Stanford too...

Ever they bride's maid.
I've been posting here a long time and usually have great conservatives with my bball buddies. The fact remains that the pool of talent is smaller for Stanford given their admissions policies, application process and number of student athletes can actively recruit. I did not attend Stanford. I have worked at their Medical Center in clinical research and have been a fan and fast break club member for 25 years, which includes listening to the staff talk about the recruiting process. I seriously doubt she thinks getting into Stanford and playing for Tara is a loss. Good luck this season.
