I don’t think that’s true. Instead of playing Vandy on Tuesday and NC State on Saturday. Now we’re playing USC on Thursday and NCSU on Saturday (still)

Hurley gets a best case scenerio:
1- more practice time (seriously showed lack thereof first two games)
2- a couple of high major tests before big east play.

benefit of new conference will be not relying on non conference play as much. That being said stakes are rather high in these 2 games.

Downfall would be we are playing 3 games in 4 days, but the upside is we would play 3 teams that are considered bubble teams preseason on a neutral court.

BYU could end up being a better opponent (for tourney/NET/KenPom/RPI purposes) than USC when all is said and done. But just happy to play any games.

As long as both Thurs & Saturday games happen (and we win them both) then this is exactly what Hurley wanted...more practice and 2 good wins. Easier said than done. Looking forward to the games and the extra practice time for the team.
