Miami-
Well maybe that in home changed things. But that doesn’t happen often.

Based on what I've heard- no one is going tooth and nail with Miami. this kid is not on the fence.

That wasn't my quote fyi. I know nothing about the recruitment.

Whats the delay with an announcement for Miami, or have I missed something? It has been 4 days since official visit to Miami.

I think this is odd, too, but UM is still looking at other guards. CG Anthony Harris has OV's scheduled at Wake Forest on 9/21 and Miami on 9/28, however, the 24/7 Crystal Ball for Harris is 100% Vir. Tech. Maybe Miami is waiting to see what he actually does.

With at least five open scholarships, they would be open to taking two additional guards in this class if they were high-priority targets.
i'd love both. But would Gaffney still commit with rique and wong both in the fold for next yr?

Slater says bank on hurricanes.

Nice effort from the staff, but this one is likely done to Miami.

That certainly is the question, but 3 guard line-ups leave a lot of minutes available to earn.

Even if it’s still Miami in the end for Wong, I like them making it a difficult decision for him. Philly area isn’t too far away for them to stop in and check.

ETA: Wong’s AAU program (WeR1) is one the staff is familiar with. Nothing wrong with making a good impression on one of their guys, even if they don’t get him. Recruits talk.

Why the visit then? Somethings not adding up. I hope slater is wrong

Could be a chance to give a final pitch, but really telling in person he's committing elsewhere (and potentially thanking for recruiting, etc.).

Nothing is over until it's over. I can see a kid hanging for a couple days, but we are beyond that window now. May still go to Miami, but why take visit from Hurley tomorrow if it is done? Has to be more than ego.

Pitt saw him today also. Even if Hurley is convinced Wong will pick Miami it is always good to keep a positive relationship, things happen and kids decommit. Kids remember who supported their recruitment vs who just wanted their signature

Makes you wonder if Bouknight's commitment has something to do with this. Add in the Miami staff's 4-deep interest in Cole Anthony, mentioned earlier today, and perhaps Wong is reassessing his top two options. ;)

We visited Anthony Harris last night too. I wouldn’t read into it too much.

Yeah, what they are doing is covering their bases. Exactly what wasn't happening the last few years, and I'm guessing people just aren't used to it.

I think you're just unprepared for the breaking dam...

If Wong sees himself as a Pg in the NBA, UCONN is a much better destination than U. Lykes is a 4 year STUD who will be running point at the U till Wongs Sr year

Backcourt at Miami got a little less crowded with their dismissal of Wilson
