With all the talk on this board about Adams and the other guards I think alot of people are sleeping on Briscoe. I'm kind of driving this kid's bandwagon so maybe I'm too bias at this point but for me he is at the top of the list. He has that "gamer" quality that you can just see, a serious competitor.

It is weird how people from NY and NJ stereotype CT like there is a big difference but when you go down south where the people are really different they don't stereotype you at all when you say you are from CT.
My first day on campus at uva I told a girl I was from CT and she asked me what state that was in...

"Three of these schools are not like the others... not like the others, not like the others."
I was going to ask whether you meant NCs or just overall relevance but its pretty much the same answer either way. I keep hoping the Johnies are better than they are b/c I do like Lavin but his "strong" recruiting has led to several season-killer dipsh_ts.

It's in the state of grace. Basketball-wise, anyway.

Big fan of Briscoe, Brunson, and Adams. Any of those guys would destroy people under Ollie.

I really like Briscoe. He is a SG with quick moves, nice handle and can shoot. Arizona is probably the favorite right now but every year a surprise happens and I think we get him.

I don't know about that, all indications point to him wanting to stay close to home; couple that with the desire to play at a big time program and something about it all makes me like our chances.

Arizona is a big time program in their own right. If Briscoe was so sure about saying close to home, then Arizona wouldn't be on the list. He must really like them to make that kind of exception.

Agreed. I think the Arizona interest comes from his relationship with Sean Miller on the youth national teams. And Louisville is there because Pitino started coming at him hard almost as soon as we did. The rest are all close to home, it's not a list of big name schools.

And as the previous poster said, I wouldn't sleep on Seton Hall. I never thought they'd land a number of the recent recruits and they did so it's clear that staff can recruit.

It seems like we always lose out on NJ guys. Have we ever had a big time recruit from NJ other than Andrew Bynum?

KFree was from Jersey originally. Don'y you recall the 87 times a game Dickie V or Fudgy Packer would tell us that Kfree had played with Tim Thomas at Patterson Catholic?

I don't think so- seemed like it was only a compliment, like "Briscoe's a nice player". Especially seems that way with Briscoe's response:

@_IsaiahBriscoe: “@rpurvis44: Isaiah Briscoe niceeeeeee!”Thanks Bro Appreciate It !!

Could this be Purvis trying to some recruiting himself?? Some of the football commits have done this with other recruits as well.

Also, could this mean Briscoe was on campus and playing with some of the guys on the team?

In this case I hope so. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Isiah Briscoe is a special player. He is that combination of basketball skill mixed with "you can't beat me" competitiveness. Gamer.

Could he co-exist well with Jalen?

Yes. In fact, if you put Jalen's ability to get to the rim next to Briscoe's ability the hit contested jumpers and we could have the best tandem in the country if both stay 2/3 years. Plus they both willing play D, and if you ask me if it works at that end the offense will come. Scoring points is the easy part.
